Jongsuk sighed as he looked between them all, shaking his head to himself. At least they hadn’t all torn each other’s heads off yet. He did however nod gratefully for Siyeon’s memory miraculously returning. “So communication is key. Then maybe we should decide how frequently we’ll meet as the five of us, to discuss the situation? I’m not sure how you’d define ‘going evil’, but it’s best if it doesn’t happen.” He looked towards Seonghwa and nodded. “Jaehyun does do very well at his job, but the rest of us have to contribute as much as he does to keeping the human population settled.”

Jaehyun's eye twitched, waiting for Siyeon to say something out of turn so he could kill her *with good reason* but as she trailed off, he felt his anger dissipating back to dull annoyance. "Well, we have a council, we have our leader, what should our goals be?" He paused when Seonghwa stood up, letting him speak with daggers in his eyes toward the youngest of them. "...Aside from continuing to farm the small number of humans we have..." He continued speaking without skipping a beat, years of working in entertainment keeping him sharp on rolling with the punches.

He stands up with a grim expression. "The ditzy fox can't be telling the truth right? We have to get closer to each other so our hold on the humans doesn't collapse.... ridiculous. Jaehyun has a perfect hold on the humans with his..." Seonghwa gestures at Jaehyun in whole. Since he hadn't fed in a long while there was no blood to show him blushing.

"Right! There was something in the paperwork about being close to help keep an eye on things! We have to be close to keep the covens united on our goals!" Siyeon bounces please with herself. "The baby vampire is useful for something! So the paperwork said to form a council with a leader and make sure to stay close to ensure that no coven falls or...goes evil I think. You know...." She didn't dare admit the events in the covens past.

“Ah, while I’ve been Lupei’s leader for quite some time now, I haven’t always been. I’ve been there as a member of the coven since we formed, but not in this role,” Jongsuk explained, inclining his head into a light nod to Seonghwa.

"Aside from you, nobody is an original leader." Jaehyun used his pen to point to Seonghwa. "I've only been leading Stan for the last couple hundred years, and I can't honestly be sure of everyone else's tenure since we aren't exactly "close"." It wasn't meant as a dig or said in an overly annoyed manner, but simply matter-of-fact with the young vampire.

Seonghwa sighs, "The rest of you forgot that Jongsuk wasn't always the leader of Lupei? Maybe that's what the documents meant. I mean those of us who haven't left are keeping our covens together." He tilts his head wondering if anyone would listen to a "baby" vampire much like himself.

"I'm afraid until whoever Siyeon has appointed to bring us the information to set us at least in the right direction, I'm just as clueless as you are. However I doubt it would be the humans attempting to overthrow us, while I'm sure they have the numbers to cause a stir, surely they couldn't have the means to kill many of us, even if they could take out a few," Jongsuk mused, his voice quieting as he went on through the sentence, thinking hard to himself. "Perhaps it could have something to do with the farms, and thank you Siyeon, very flattering."

"I mean it's not like the humans can overthrow us.....riiight?" Siyeon fidgets, ignoring Seonghwa's presence. "Wouldn't that be the only threat to us? I mean...aside from the baby we don't really fight with each other. I mean I'd sooner bang you guys then kill you."

"Die" was definitely a trigger word that caught Jaehyun's attention, and his eyes moved up from the tablet to focus on their newly appointed leader. "Do you think it has to do with the Civil wars? Or maybe it has something to do with the human farms?" He asked, knowing they were at the one-hundredth year since vampires had first formed the camps.

Jongsuk’s brows furrowed, and he nodded lightly once again. “Is that all you read Siyeon? You didn’t go on to see if there was anything the former counsel did to stop our race dying? What would cause us to die? It would be preferable that we didn’t burn out.”

She jumps, "T-that's how the documents worded it! Not how I saw it!" Siyeon looks distressed fearing this was going to be labeled as her forcing everyone to do this.

"Siyeon, you mentioned making a council to make sure the race continues." He tilts his head staring down Siyeon. "Are you trying to say that if we don't co-operate with this council idea then we'll all die?"

Content in the knowledge that he was no longer on the hook for Siyeon's forgetfulness, Jaehyun took out a pair of glasses and pulled out his work tablet. He began to check figures and numbers with quick flicks of his digits across the screen, waiting for something important to come up so he could put in his two cents.

"Not sure. I mean she does usually sleep around this time. So it's a toss up. Unless...did I leave them in my room?" Siyeon tilts her head trying to figure out where the documents were the left. She gets trapped in her thoughts.

“Alright, if everyone agrees.” Seeing as though each leader of the covens didn’t seem to have any objection, Jongsuk inclined his head into a nod. “There’s that job taken care of then. Siyeon do you think your appointed bodyguard will be attending soon?”

"Fine. Whatever." He was calm but not interested in what was going on. Although he had to agree about Siyeon. "Lupei is the logical choice. Is that all we were called for?"

Jaehyun smiled briefly, looking around the table before speaking again. "Well, Lupei are one of the original covens, meaning you have the pedigree. You are also not the youngest member of our council," he looked at Seonghwa, "Nor as flaky as some," his gaze rested hard on Siyeon, "and not as busy as myself." As for Kotone, he had nothing bad to say, so there was no mention of her at all.

Siyeon blinks then smiles softly. "I agree. I vote for Jongsuk! Jaehyun will be a brat, Seonghwa may just ignore the role for his dog." She didn't start in on why she wouldn't work for the role.

“I see,” Jongsuk began, his gaze landing briefly on Jaehyun. “I’d be honoured, however it seems you came to a decision very fast, Jaehyun. Do you really think I would be best for the task?”

"Alright, so let's start there. We need a council leader - and I for one, would like to nominate Jongsuk."Jaehyun smoothly segued, looking around the room to see if there were any objections or questions."

"The main parts, yes. It talked about the old covens from before us. It said something about them working together to keep our race alive. There was something also about making a council. I stopped paying attention at the mention of a Council leader." Siyeon beams happily to help move things along.

"Do you at least remember what they said?" He asked, irritation clearly growing, though he tried to temper it so that he wouldn't make Siyeon any more nervous. The last thing he needed was a fox in a puddle of clothes - Then she would be utterly useless.

"I thought my bodyguard would get here before me so...I gave them to her. I thought I was being responsible." Siyeon looks down knowing she might shift due to the anxiety again.

"Siyeon, do you have the documents or not? We all have better things to be doing." Jaehyun finally asked, clearly fed up with the tension in the room and his perceived level of unprofessionalism.

"Y-you know how you know who gets when bring up the icy thing origin." She pouts trying to ignore she also didn't help with the mood of the room.

Kotone sighed slightly, watching the tension between everyone before shaking her head. “The longer you all spend disputing before we’ve got to the point, the longer we’ll be here for.”

Jongsuk looked between each gathered person, then shook his head. “It’s like we’re about to wage war in here, not have a meeting. All of you calm down a little, we’ll get to the stage where we’re discussing things eventually.”

Seonghwa used everyone focusing on Siyeon to calm down a bit. He would just have to get use to Jaehyun bringing that up or get revenge on the composed male later.

She looks at Jongsuk given the creature was closer to his line plus it meant not looking at Jaehyun. Siyeon could feel her anxiety rising from that icy stare.
