Revolt has a narrative-driven concept which follows them throughout all comebacks and activities. In short, the members (and their fanbase) are rebels part of a rebellion to overthrow villainous dystopian rulers who have taken control of the world. The concept is inspired by the desire to have an idol group who are not afraid to push boundaries or challenge the industry standards, hence they often have a dark and aggressive style catered more towards an adult fanbase.

As a more instrumental-based group, each member is musically gifted and frequently write or compose their own songs. Although they have a designated main vocalist, it is extremely common for this group to shift vocals between members to show their individual sounds.
