all you need to know

wolfsbane institute's exclusive feeder program was initially implemented as a means to provide young student witches with the opportunity to attend the school for free. however, as more and more faculty began to enter the school, the program was extended so that faculty witches and vampires were also included.
upon entry, witches will be paired up wiith a single vampire for the entire duration of their tenure or study and will be expected to make sure that the vampire they are paired up with is regularly fed and does not fall into a blood frenzy. these vampire families pay for their student to have a feeder (or, if the vampire is faculty, they themselves pay for a feeder), and that money then goes to the witches to pay for their education if they're a student, or towards their salary if they are faculty.
student and faculty witches in this program will be provided with the option to either stay in a flat with their designated partner or live in a residential room by themselves, both of which are fully covered by the program. if you choose to live in a joint residential flat, promptly contact one of the admins and they will set up a private room for you at no cost.

additionally, there are some strict guidelines all vampire-witch pairs must abide by in order to ensure everyone's safety. (this is only for the ic lore. if in your plots you ignore these rules, by all means feel free!)
- vampires are never, under any circumstances, allowed to feed from anyone but their own feeder.
- vampires are not obligated to feed on a regular schedule, but they must not over-feed or drain their witch partners. the institute standard is 1 litre of blood per day.
- all witches are given vitamin supplements specially designed to help boost their immune systems and replenish blood on a consistent basis. they must take two of these supplements per day to avoid any complications in their health.
- vampires are prohibited from feeding in public due to the nature of the feeder types and the various reactions the act of feeding can induce. all feedings must be done in dorm rooms or in closed off, private spaces.
- any complications must be brought up with the dean of the school. it is rare that a reassignment will occur, but if it is deemed necessary and within justifiable reason, it will be permitted.
*a witch will typically fall under one of four feeder categories. it is vital that both parties involved know what each type of feeder is as well as the inherent risks that come with some of them.
- painful feeders: perhaps the most unpleasant category to fall under. these individuals have a heightened pain sensitivity to a vampire's bite. these feeders can experience anything from a small pinching sensation to an excruciating burning sensation at the bite location.
- pleasure feeders: pleasure feeders are said to have a vast array of reactions. some have reported a warm, tingling sensation while being fed upon, while other, more extreme cases have reported feeling arousal. common effects include a feeling of light-headedness and a loss of inhibition.
- numbing feeders: these feeders feel no pain from the bite. their bodies will go numb and, in more extreme cases, their spirits will as well. these feeders are prone to blanking out during the feeding process and will need a few minutes to recover after the session is over. in some extreme cases, the feeder will black out entirely and have no recollection of the feeding ever taking place once they come to.
- algedonic feeders: an unusual mix of pain and pleasure feeders. these feeders are few and far between and have very different tolerances to a vampire's bite. no consistent reports have been made on them so it's best to monitor this feeder's reactions very carefully and adjust yourself accordingly.
feeder assignments will be done at random upon entry to the institute, and you will receive your assignments in your pms once everyone has been paired. you may also check the feeder chart to see who everyone was assigned.
IMPORTANT ADMIN NOTE: assignments will not be done right away upon opening so that everyone has time to settle in. if in that time you notice that there is a user in this roleplay that you don't feel comfortable with or you have had prior conflicts with and you don't wish to be paired with them, let the admin know immediately. you will not be paired with someone you don't want to be.
