I feel as though the supernatural is finnicky like that. While there are some things that simply cannot be explained, (think of things like the Mandela Effect, Poltergeist Activity, Unnatural land monuments— crop circles, etc...) i feel like often times, experiences like yours could be attributed to the mind as a method of coping. With it being such a large family gathering, your mind could have been unconsciously searching for your grandfather and when you couldn’t find him, your brain tapped into your sacred memories of him, ultimately tricking you into believing that he was there. However, it very well could have been him trying to comfort you by letting you know that he was there. Either way, I think that he lives on through your memories.

[] so, i'm on the fence about the paranormal. i've had at least one experience that i'm still questioning about. i'm a big fan of the supernatural even as much so that i've watched ghost hunters, ghost adventures an smaller budget ghost hunting on tv and youtube. while most are entertaining and some wild, i have questions, and the most obvious one is: are ghosts real. to me, my answer is: i don't know. there are a lot of factors within the paranormal that are legit and some that kinda make me go "ehh, alright, no." there are some ideas that the supernatural deal with the after life, and often bring up the question: is there an afterlife. i guess it comes down to, "if i see it, i'll believe it." okay. so, my experience is that my dear grandfather passed away about 4 years ago in December. he was a mariachi performer and often played whenever the whole family gather's together. he was a wonderful and talented singer and performer. i loved it when he played, and i always looked forward to it when i would come over. 2 years after his passing, i came back to visit my grandmother, and while my parents were talking, i heard soft strumming of the guitar and faint singing, and it was so clear and crisp that i asked everyone to quiet down to see if they could hear it. no one else heard it but me and it was as clear as day, faint, but clear. no one in the house knows how to play instruments, and there weren't any laying around. i was really confused as to how it happened and i guess i came to the conclusion that i experienced something paranormal, but i guess this also goes into psychology as well. could our minds be so powerful that it could actually create an experience like that, or was it something real and not of this world but in another plane that /i/ experienced and no one else did. if /i/ only experienced it, who would believe me? other's would say it was "all in my head." but was it really? is our mind that powerful to create something so realistic like that? or did i really catch something supernatural?

i feel like the topic of the supernatural is really complex, so my explanation is probs boring hh.
