@c. ten Dejun turned to the person who had spoken, following the source of the sound before his gaze landed on the male behind the store’s counter. His breath got caught in his throat as he took in the other’s features, already feeling his stomach twisting knots and flush flooding his cheeks. Okay, who on Earth decided to leave out the fact that the owner of the apothecary shop was a cutie? Dejun was pretty sure with how much blood was rushing to his face, he would probably faint, so it’s a miracle that he’s somehow still standing. He had to will himself to act casual as he approached the male, smiling slightly and hoping it didn’t come out looking weird.

“Yes, hi, I’m looking for medicines that can help with fevers?” Dejun asked, his voice just wavering that slight bit and he mentally cursed himself for it. “My brother is bed-ridden after braving through a storm last night.” He continued to explain, just an added statement to be conversational. “Are there maybe any medicines that can make him feel a bit better?”

Dejun was having a hard time making eye contact with the male in front of him, eyes always darting away to instead take interest in his surroundings, anywhere but the person before him. It wasn’t as if this was his first time meeting a cute guy, but maybe he hadn’t been expecting the owner of the store to look like this (he was expecting more of some elderly woman, sweet smile and grey hair).

@c. ten his brother, that idiot, had fallen sick. dejun told him specifically to not come home yet until the rain was over, but the elder insisted. it wasn't as if it was a simple drizzle either - it was a damn downpour with lightning crackling the sky and thunder roaring in the air. yet the male was adamant to reach home instead of finding shelter until the rain had stopped. the good news was, he managed to arrive home completely in tact, safe and sound; the bad news was, he was very ill the following morning, so much that he couldn't even budge on his own bed.

his father was busy with work while his mother took it upon herself to care for his brother, so that left dejun to find medicine for the poor sod. it was a good thing that it was a sunday morning, so he didn't need to go to his university and could at least bring the necessary ailment for his bed-ridden brother. he made it a point to give the male an earful until he was for him to stop before leaving for the nearest medicine shop for what he wanted.

he was aware of the apothecary nearby and made his way to that direction instantly. he had heard about the person running the store, though had never found a reason to visit the place since no one in the family was known for getting sick. good thing that at least dejun knew where to head to in order to find what he was looking for.

with the building's more medieval-style structure, it stood out amidst the skyscrapers and silver edifice. dejun scanned the exterior for a good minute before entering, the overhead bell ringing to signal his entrance. he glanced around the inside as he allowed the door to shut silently behind him, hoping to find someone who could help him with what he was trying to look for.

"excuse me?" dejun tried calling out, walking further into the store. "hello? is anyone in?"
