incubus' help
this is a private roleplay between chou tzuyu and bang chan

@tzuyu "Tzuyu," he repeated as he pushed his key into the ignition and started the car. "If you didn't know already, I'm Chan."

Usually, when he drove by himself he didn't care too much to turn on the heat when the weather got colder. But, considering that he had another person with him for the first time in a long time, he decided to ask her how she was feeling in hopes that it would ease her nerves, even in the slightest. Tapping his fingers against the steering wheel as he drove, his sight remained on the road in front of them, afraid that he'd chicken out or do even worse if he looked at her. This was beginning to seem like a bad idea. Hell, it was already a bad idea before they even left the cafe. But it was far too late to change his mind that was already turning in different directions.

"Are you cold..?"

@chan Tzuyu stood quietly as he disposed of the trash in his hands. She couldn't even talk to females without feeling nervous. But she isn't usually this nervous about interactions. This one just had her super nervous for some reason. She watched him carefully, sliding her phone into her pocket. She gave a small nod when he said how far away it was.

"Alright... That's fine..." She said, nodding. She followed him as soon as he started walking. The weather was already too cold for her liking. She definitely preferred Spring and Summer. Even though Autumn is a beautiful season. She adjusted her coat and her bag, making sure to stay near him as they walked towards his car. Her eyes landed on a black sedan and she assumed it was his when he walked towards it. She hesitated before climbing into the passenger seat and buckling in immediately. Her bag was sitting on her feet.

"Ah. It's Tzuyu..." She answered, humming softly.

@tzuyu Tossing his items into the trashcan near his table, he listened to her stumble over her words more than a few times. She was nervous, "she should be," his own thoughts interjected without permission. He was growing sick of this. It was almost as if another spirit was in his body. But due to the circumstances, he was sure he didn't even have a soul at all.

"Alright, well, my apartment is a good 20 minutes away from here. We can take my car."

Pulling the second strap up on his shoulder, he started to walk outside of the cafe, assuming that she would follow him without a second glance in her direction. The weather outside was growing colder and while he usually preferred this sort of weather, it was always better being inside rather than directly under it. Pretty soon, they'd be at his apartment and he'd try his best to sleep away this frustration after he helped her. It'd be way too dangerous for him to fall unconscious in her presence. Chan unlocked his black Sedan once they drew closer, climbing into the driver's side and almost immediately pulling for his seatbelt.

"What's your name, by the way?"

@chan Tzuyu watched the other, wondering what was honestly going on in his mind. He looked irritated, nervous, and several other emotions. He was radiating mixed emotions. Which only added to how nervous she had been. She moved some hair back behind her ear as she watched him. She wondered if she made the right choice by coming up to him.

"Ah... Erm... Great!" She said, giving a small smile. She watched him lean over his bag and she stepped back a little bit. "Ah... I see... It's alright. I'll just... Get them and leave and give them back to you..."

She knew there was no way what he was feeling was him just being 'tired'. She stepped back as he stood up from his seat. She was slightly more intimidated now that he was standing up. Though... He had never intimidated her before... Maybe it was just the way he was acting today... But he was definitely off from his usual self... She has a tendency to notice things like that...

"Erm... No... I'm not... My only plans were homework..." She answered. Wow... That... Sounds so lame...

@tzuyu Different voices swam around in his brain, some furthering his distress, others going as far to make him become nervous. Did he just invite her to his apartment without even realizing that he did? How stupid of him not to realize until AFTER he spoke. She didn't even have to answer him for the male to pretty much know what she would say.

"I.." he started, trailing off for the second time since they spoke, "Uh.. yeah. Notes. I was talking about the notes."
Leaning down to close his book bag and hopefully direct attention away from how strange he was acting, he continued. "No I'm not busy.. just tired is all."

Yeah right, like she would even believe that flaky cover-up of his. Chan heaved out a sigh, tossing his book bag over his shoulder with one hand and using the other to grab his scraps. He could just get this junk over with, she'd be on her way and they would never have to speak to each other again. It seemed easy enough, but deep down he knew it wouldn't be that easy and wasn't sure if he disliked that or not.

"Are you sure you aren't busy?"
tzuyu 3 years ago
@chan She shifted on her feet when the other stared at her. Which made this a bit more awkward for her. Could he have felt her staring at him? She tilted her head slightly as he finally replied. His tone was rather uninterested, a tone she was more than used to getting from people. "Oh. I can--." She paused when his voice slowly fell off.

Her arms crossed over her torso as she waited for him to finish speaking but the next part of a sentence didn't make sense with what he'd already said. Unless he left the notes on his desk and verbally finished his thought.

Tzuyu shifted again, it was definitely awkward for her to stand there in silence while he was looking for his notes. "Oh... Well... I'm not busy... I can go with you to get them... Unless you're busy..." She said slowly, sort of hesitant. But she noticed the other looking back up at her. "We're talking about notes... Right?"

@tzuyu He was just about to get up to throw away his food, when the girl finally came over to his spot. Ah, so that's why she was staring at him so hard. Interesting. Chan stared at her for a few seconds, brain quickly trying to decide what he was going to do.
"Sure," replied flatly. Hoping he could just give her his notes, she would take them and leave him be. "You can just give them to me..." he began to trail off.

Why were his notes not in his bag? He usually put them right in his bag after class. His hands began to grow frantic. It wasn't like he... wait. He was reading them last night, so maybe they were... "still on my desk." he continued out-loud.

He let out another heavy sigh, his perturbation growing heavier and heavier the more he began to beat himself up. "I left them and my book at my apartment. 'm sorry. If I could, I'd bring you to my apartment." Chan's gaze lifted to the other in front of him, studying her reaction even though he realized he had even said the last sentence.

@chan Tzuyu let out a soft sigh, adjusting herself on the chair. Why was it so hard for her? She took her gaze down from the other and immediately decided not to bother him. But she needed help... Her mind was giving her conflicting messages. Get help. Don't bother him... Two two voices were practically screaming their argument.

She waited until he had food, which she hoped would slightly distract him when she finally had the guts to approach him. It took a while but she finally worked herself up enough to walk up to him. She gave herself one last mental pep talk. She could do it. It's just a guy... It's just a person... The worst he could do was call her something and say no to helping her...

She stood up and grabbed her things, quietly approaching his table. "U-Um... I'm sorry to bother you... Erm... I just... Was wondering if you could help me with this assignment... Since we're in the same class..." She said softly.

@tzuyu It happened again. That same stare had burned back on him the second he tried to mind his business. It was annoying, yes. Very annoying. But that was the last thing on his mind in this current moment. With a huff, his eyes continued to scan the menu until he saw something he found acceptable and hoped he could stomach. Within minutes, he got up from his seat, ordered and was back at his table.

The quiet chatter of the cafe was easily drowned out in Chan's head, growing more and more frustrated with himself as he found that what he was eating was in fact not helping him at all. There was no amount of foul and crude words in the world to describe his annoyance, but he was sure if he didn't find a distraction soon he would make a whole book of them.

Tapping his foot against the tiles, he dropped his sandwich back onto it's plate.

@chan Tzuyu let out a soft sigh as she tried to convince herself to go and ask the guy for help. Her gaze immediately dropping as soon as he turned her way. Causing her to nervously sip on her tea and stare at the assignment in front of her. She knows it's wrong to stare... But she hoped the longer she looked at him the more likely it'd be for her to walk up to him.

She looked back up when he turned away and shook her head. There was no way she could approach him. She'd get too nervous and stumble over her words. Potentially making herself sound like an idiot. And she already had issues with people thinking things about her that aren't true. But she never has the guts to tell them differently.

She did, however, notice that his behavior was a bit more cautious and different from his usual self. Which both concerned and intrigued her. She noticed him grab the menu and decided to wait just a little longer before even thinking about approaching him.

@tzuyu He could feel the gaze of somebody on him; it irked him. Yet, he couldn't blame whoever it was considering his current behavior. After grabbing his wallet and placing it on the table in front of him, his gaze followed the line of sight in which he felt the person's eyes, easily recognizing a girl from one of his classes.

He stared for a few more seconds to confirm if it was her, before turning his attention back to his wallet. It was interesting, he started to think. She had always been rather quiet and avoidant of other people in the class they shared together, so he wondered if it really was his behavior that was bizarre to her or something more. Anyways, he didn't want to stick around to find out.

Even things like getting to know people and the reason for their behavior was dangerous as is. Giving his head a slight shake, Chan pulled one of the menus from underneath the table's condiments in search of a food to distract him.

@chan Tzuyu let out a sigh as she sat trying to figure out a homework assignment. But she was too awkward to just go up to someone from the class and ask them. She looked around the campus cafe to find a familiar face to ask for help. She just needed it to be re-explained in a way she actually understood. Not that she was dumb it was just not well explained before. And then she spotted one.

She quietly talked herself into being able to walk up and ask him for help. First trying to remember his name... Chan..? Right? She thought she was correct and gave herself a small nod. She looked down at her tea before taking a sip, urging herself to calm down enough to talk to him. But she didn't want to walk up to him right away.

"Mmmm... These questions just don't make sense." She mumbled under her breath. She at least wanted the other to be comfortable before a random person walked up to him to ask for help on some assignment for class.

@tzuyu Chan's head was ing spinning; he had delayed his feeding way past his usual limit and was now suffering the major consequences. Unfortunately, being an incubus is not as fun as stories and movies try and entail the lifestyle to be. No, he had even worse luck being so in tune with others' emotions and feelings, that he pushed everyone away so that he wouldn't form any sort of bond with them. It was better to be safe than sorry, but with no one available to feed on, it was taking an incredible toll on his body.

Planting himself in a seat at their campus cafe, he placed his hands inside the palms of his hands in an attempt to stop the world from swiveling under him. He silently cursed, praying to a God foe help that wasn't even listening to him, having been damned centuries before he was even born and breathing. Usually, he was the one driving other people insane, but now he found himself on the opposite spectrum.

Dropping his bag beside his chair, he fished in his pocket for his wallet, invoking to any high spirit above that human food would help him suppress his urges in the slightest.
