@reece It was a cloudy day while Hongjoong was daring himself to walk deeper into the city. He was slowly running out of supplies and while he had found a way to keep his water clean and collect enough he was not having enough food for the next few days, just for the rest of the day. And it because being alone was something he was not good with.
Before Hongjoong had been part of a group. Just a handful of people getting together and helping each other out. He would even go as far as calling them friends, maybe. He had trusted them and they had trusted him but now he could not even tell if they were still alive. They had been separated on a huge factory area due to some idiot opening the door to a huge amount of zombies. So Hongjoong had helped the others just to eventually get stuck in the factory for a few hours. He had figured a way out that had made him end up dirty and smelly but fortunately he had found a place to stay with a tiny lake he had used to wash himself. Still he had no resources left he could eat, at least not for the next few days.
The city was full of zombies. The people barely dared to enter it and Hongjoong wished he did not have but he had checked the outskirts and barely found anything. So he had entered the city and only a few minutes in he had even discovered a gas station with a few cereal bars he had been able to stuff his bag with – better than nothing but not enough so he made his way deeper into the city.
Upon entering the next best run down supermarket he already regretted his decision. It had been quiet before and then, suddenly, he heard the sounds of zombies trying to get into a door, scratching and bumping against it. And while the zombies had probably not seen it, Hongjoong could see the shadow of a person move under the small crack of the door. . Someone was locked in there and Hongjoong wished he could just leave like that but who was he to leave a person in need. Grabbing his gun he held it tightly, getting closer to the undead. He was lucky, a silencer had been with his gun when he had found it but he only had a few bullets left. If he made a mistake he would have to use his knife and he really hated it.
Making no sound he got close enough to be able to shoot properly without missing his target and the first one went out with collapsing on the floor. Three more Hongjoong could see and one seemed to even be faster than the others, more observing. Damn ing mutations. Hurriedly he shot the zombie that seemed to slowly realise danger was there and it went down without a fight. The next ones were gone soon and carefully Hongjoong walked towards the door, knocking on it. “Be quiet, I don’t know how many are in here, still. But are you okay? I got those things.”
