@α junji Sunoo tended to avoid the packlands - that was a given. He didn't want anything to do with his family, didn't have friends worth visiting, and didn't have any ties to the lands that he couldn't fulfill in the city. There was simply nothing that this vast expanse of boring land could offer while he was living his best life in the city.
Until now.
Now, he couldn't help but want to come back any time he wasn't working.
This weekend, he was exploring the marketplace to find his lover. The one he could possibly call his mate - the one man who could absolutely make him weak in the knees no matter what. Sure, Junhyung hadn't been answering his calls, or texts, or snaps, but that didn't matter. He was a busy guy. He worked so hard, and Sunoo just wanted to see him and bring him lunch and maybe get a little affection in response. The young beta nearly skipped through the various stalls in the marketplace, stopping here and there to buy some of the best smelling foods - For his mate's lunch, of course - and spending extra time at any of the stands that sold designs made of wood.
No, he didn't know if his latest obsession would have a stall here, or even work at one. He just knew that he was a carpenter and worked with wood. That was a start, right? Sunoo justified it to himself as new relationship stuff. They'd only been on a few dates, and it wasn't like he was selling himself to Junhyung, so his finances weren't a real concern. He looked at the fashionable (if not rustic) furniture designs, wondering if making a crib out of wood would be too difficult. Maybe multiple cribs? Who knew how many pups they could have; they might have a whole litter if Junhyung would let Sunoo have his way. A shiver coursed the spine of the beta and he felt his insides twist and tighten with the idea of a happy family life with the alpha that had stolen away his heart after just a few quiet dates. Dizzy with the daydreams of what might be, Sunoo felt his cheeks flush, and his resolve strengthen, moving on down the long marketplace street of shops and stalls.
It felt like forever - crisp morning gone and sun high in the sky now - before he caught a glimpse of the shocking blonde hair that he'd come to associate with Junhyung. Sunoo didn't even bother to suppress the squeal that rose in his throat, launching himself at the figure that he'd been missing. "Junji~ Did you miss me? I brought you lunch. I know you've been so busy you can't even answer your phone, but I wanted to show you that I don't mind. Please tell me you can take a break and let me feed you and spend some time with you." Everything rushed out of his mouth as he pressed his face into the alpha's chest, hugging him tight, and basking in his scent. It was a long minute before he even bothered to look up, amber eyes sparkling with adoration. Sunoo's tone shifted, sweet and soft to low and seductive, his lips pressing idle kisses to the chest and collar of the wolf he was wrapped around; teeth skirting the edge of his scent gland to tease the alpha. "Pretty please, Junji? We can even sneak off afterwards. I know you must be so pent up after so long apart."
