"Why don't you just let them be an ally but kill them in the end, be the traitor yourself?" He asked as he looked at her placing an object inside a bag, something that she had hidden inside her pocket. Min Jun listened closely and full of alertness as he heard her answer to his question, an answer that seems really logical coming from her. A chuckle was released, "Not intelligent? I kind of beg to differ. In such a short time that we have been exchanging conversations now I can see how wise you are, add the fact that you know how to make poison." Min Jun pointed out, "Though it's a cool attribute you got there, knowing one's personality through actions." He added with a small smile. "If you don't mind me asking then, what do you think is my personality?"

@♤ ¦ Gwak Min Jun ( I am very sorry for not replying for a long time ; A ; )

Yoona chuckled softly, placing the pen on the cabinet. "Like I said, trust no one. Even though his intentions are for the better, who knows? He might just betray you in the end." She answered, taking out the bag she hid inside her pocket. She blinked rapidly at his question while placing the material inside her bag, and turned to the man and said, "From my opinion? In how they act, I guess. I'm not a mind reader, nor am I intelligent, but based on how someone acts, I can guess what's his personality." She took a deep breath, her lips and continued answering. "And if you investigate closely, you might know what they really are."
♤ ¦ Gwak Min Jun 10 years ago
@♡ ¦ Im Yoona Min Jun chuckled as he gave a small side smile, "Sharp but realistic words." He commented, "What if you met someone whose intentions are really for the better but you ended up not trusting him?" Min Jun asked out of nowhere, soon emitting a chuckle. "Though, you are right about that matter of how looks are quiet deceiving. From your opinion, how can you see if a person is a potential ally through their looks?" He asked her while he sat on one of the chairs available in the premises, looking at the lady who plopped herself into a comfortable position on the cabinet.

"Except if both are traitors." Yoona stated, swirling the pen around her fingertips. "Eliminate your enemies, make friends - but trust no one. Looks are quite deceiving." She took a deep breath, plopping herself on the cabinet. "Traitors are everywhere, so beware. I wouldn't even think twice about eliminating them.'
♤ ¦ Gwak Min Jun 10 years ago
@♡ ¦ Im Yoona || Aniyoooo, it's fine :3 ||

"I agree, it's useful." Min Jun had stated his opinion of agreement about the subject, "Though I kinda think of it as a weapon of a traitor since it's a silent killer and all, just pour one or two drops of the poison then you can kill someone who had trusted you." He added then eventually chuckled, putting the pen that he found fancy a bit earlier down. "But yeah, you can use it during emergencies or what not."
♡ ¦ Im Yoona 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Gwak Min Jun ( sorry if its short again ; A ; )

Yoona nodded, listening to the words he said. "Well thank you. I taught myself how to make poison. Quite deadly, if you'd ask." She took some materials on top of the cabinet, taking some jars of paint. "Poison's quite useful."
♤ ¦ Gwak Min Jun 10 years ago
@♡ ¦ Im Yoona || Nothing to worry about, it's fine :3 ||

"Same reason like me, I see." Min Jun replied coolly as he lightly emitted a chuckle, "I checked out almost everything around the room already and found nothing useful for me except for some things that can be an ingredient for poison." He started talking as he examined an expensive looking fountain pen which has the handle coated with what looked like real gold. "Just like the thinner that you had grabbed, no need to do that kind of action quickly." Min Jun pointed out, hinting her that he had saw her grabbed the paint thinner. "Now I'm thinking you're someone who is skilled when it's about making poison, classic style you have there."
♡ ¦ Im Yoona 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Gwak Min Jun ( sorry if i replied soooo late ; n ; )

She raised her brow at his sudden apology, confused how he kept his calm. Maybe he wanted peace and win this game, Yoona thought. Taking a few steps, examining the room carefully, she wondered if there would be useful materials here. Hearing the stranger's question while she was looking around, Yoona answered, "I'm just looking around, finding some useful material here and there." Spotting a small jar of paint thinner, she took light steps forward. Yoona grabbed it immediately and hid it, knowing that she could use it for poison.

@♡ ¦ Im Yoona || It's good! Don't worry ^ - ^ ||

He squinted his eyes when he heard such question coming from the lady, soon emitting a low chuckle from him. Min Jun brought down his hands from its flexed position earlier and kept his dagger back to its proper position which was hidden under his coat, looking at her eyes directly before he turned his back towards her and squatted down once again; facing the cabinet he was examining earlier before she opened the door. He opened the cabinet and looked at the countless paper, pens, and pencils once again as he inwardly sighed due to disappointment that he's facing the reality of not finding anything useful once again. "I'm sorry for my rude act earlier." Min Jun apologized towards the stranger all of the sudden, still focused on looking for something useful. He remained silent as he closed the drawer and stood up, facing her as soon as he was able to stand straight. "I'm looking for something useful, how about you? What brought you here?" Min Jun returned the question to her.

@♤ ¦ Gwak Min Jun ( Well this , my post is so lame ; A ; )

Yoona was walking around the castle, thinking that walking would calm down her nerves. But it wasn’t. Instead, she was searching around for poison or other things that would be useful. Stumbling across the drawing, she heard something. It sounded like someone was rummaging through the cabinets. Stepping a little more closely, her hunch was confirmed. Someone was in there. Pushing the door a little, she saw a guy squatting down, searching something inside the lower cabinet. The room might be dim, but Yoona has an eagle-eye /if that’s what it’s called/. She stared at him with emotionlessly, no fear attached. “You. What are you doing here?”

@♤ ¦ Huang Zitao "I believe I just made you drawing better." She said with a chuckle. Qian pulled out a chair and took a sit. "I got lost." She answered. Seeing that it might've been better if she was able to hide her identity, but there was too many familiar faces here. Then again, she wasn't very concerned about her identity being discovered. Very few people, if any, actually knew her true name.

She took a glance at the sketch, wondering just how Zitao was able to do it. "Beautiful as always." She said with a chuckle. "Maybe you should've became an artist instead." She didn't recommend sending people out on pipe dreams, but she truly felt he might've been able to make a few dollar off of his talent at least. "I guess you've been hiding in here the past few hours, haven't you?"
♤ ¦ Huang Zitao 10 years ago
@♡ ¦ Victoria Song Zitao managed to finish sketching the whole room with ease after a few minutes. At the last minute, he felt someone's presence. Looking up at her, he flashed a small smile. "You just ruined my sketch." He said playfully. He then looked at her from head to toe before finding a way to put her into the sketch. After seeing that there aren't much things in her spot, he inserted him in the picture, sketching her figure- rather quickly yet it was legit. This was something he was used to- quick sketching. After finishing the sketch he put his signature at the bottom right section before placing it on the table near them. "What brings you here, noona?" He asked, talking to a friend of his whom he treated almost like family.
♡ ¦ Victoria Song 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Huang Zitao She was trying to become familiar with the palace, but with so many twists and turns she still didn't have any idea of where she's at. This entire place is like a labyrinth to her, the only thing missing was a minotaur lurking somewhere. Eventually, she came across a place that looked like a sketch room with the various drawings laying about. Art was an interesting past time, but not she ever had any talent in. Drawing a straight line is a challenge for her even with a ruler. It didn't take long before she spot a familiar figure, approaching the boy and leaning over him wondering how long it will take him to notice her presence.
♤ ¦ Gwak Min Jun 10 years ago
@♡ ¦ Im Yoona “Who would have thought this would happen anyways…” He continued to mumble towards himself, opening another drawer from the cabinets as he tried to look for something useful towards him. To his disappointment, nothing seemed to be something he could use. Currently in an unfamiliar dark room with only the radiance of the moon to be his only guide around, it's not such a mystery why Min Jun is having a hard time looking for valuable things he can use. Just a moment ago, everything seemed peaceful and of course a bored Min Jun was there to witness such a happy event. But then a short time after, the lights went out as the music died down; leaving most of the young citizens confused and shocked about what is going on. Min Jun's eyes widened as he listened to the harmonious chiming of the clocks, from the moment he accepted the invitation he already had a hunch something was up; this is the time where his entire hunch was confirmed.

Min Jun shrugged as he attempted to push the thought of being stuck in a game of death out of his head, in order to do that he is averting his attention back to his task of looking for something valuable to use except for his dagger and gun just in case he needs to use such things. Pencils, Fountain Pens, Papers, Coloring materials: these are the only things that he can find. He had the hunch to take one of these pens and use their tip, well who knows if it is really useful for him. Min Jun squatted down for the lower cabinet and as if on cue, the door opened which lighted the doorway partially from the light coming from the outside. He stood straight up and flexed his right hand out, revealing a dagger firmly gripped by his steady hand. Min Jun, who looked equally intellectual by the way he stands, took time to adjust his eyes towards the light.

The unknown person stood there and soon, Min Jun had saw a silhouette form in front of his bare eyes; revealing a lady who looked tough and equipped an emotion with no fear overwhelming her doll-like features.

|| Sorry took long, can't squeeze something out from my mind for a starter so it also and yeah OTL. Hold up with me ^-^;; ||

Zitao pushed one of the doors open, setting foot into the what seems to be the drawing room in the place. He looked around, unfamiliar with the place since he was kind of new around. Filling one of the pocket of his jeans with his hand, the other lingered at the sides of the painting he had just passed. 'Average'. He though, judging the painting. Not really being rude but, he had the hands of an artist and any artist would judge the painting as average. He took a few steps and ended up sitting on one of the soft couches in the room, seeing a paper and a pen in sight. Looking around for its owner, she or he seemed to be gone. He wasn't the type to touch other people's things but it seemed like the pen and paper was for everyone, delighting a few who felt like sketching- and he was one of those. Picking the pen up, he started to sketch the whole room, not finding anything or anyone else to sketch.
♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun [SH] [A] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo "Hm." Daehyun watched as the other man strummed a melody. It was the brief look of fear that passed through L's eyes however when it struck him how /human/ he was despite his facade. Quickly turning his back towards the sitting man, Daehyun strode to a seat at one of the tables and settled himself down there, back still facing L. Examining his hands absentmindedly, Daehyun wondered just how long this game would last before everyone would perish and the castle was stained with blood.

[[sorry it's so short otl]]
♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo [H] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun [[ *per se ]]

Myungsoo shrugged noncommittally, just lowering his hands to the strings and gently strumming out a melody his mother had taught him. "I know a couple of pieces," he said, lazily closing his eyes and just listening to the sound reverberate around the room. The sound that resulted was hauntingly beautiful, much different from his own back at the estate.

He was used to the lonely strands of melody gently floating around, empty and hollow, beautiful in a distanced sort of way.

He opened his eyes again, suddenly struck by the fact he may or may not survive this game. Fear shot through him quickly, and adrenaline pulsed headily through his veins. Sure that the other man was witnessing his vulnerability, he quickly turned away, focusing on the harp, feeling like a little child awaiting punishment from his father.

His watch ticked.
♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun [SH] [A] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo Adjusting his mask so it rested more comfortably on his face, he replied, "No. Do you?" Daehyun watched curiously as the other man walked over to the harp and sat down. He wasn't lying per say, though he could play a little, having observed during several business trips early in his career some of the well-off ladies play.

♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo [H] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun Myungsoo let his arm return back to it's original placement before shrugging. Walking over to the harp, he jerked his head towards it, "You play?" He made his way over and sat down, hands poised to play. He sat there, waiting for an answer from the man.

Funny how much a small detail could tell you about a man, or woman, for that fact.
♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun [SH] [A] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo He took the other's hand, still maintaining his warm, amicable smile. "Pleasure to meet you, L," Daehyun responded, placing a light, extra emphasis on the other man's nickname. His easy smile widened at L's question; it was a very good question indeed, and L would probably find a more satisfying answer had he asked someone other than Daehyun. Releasing the other man's hand, he smoothly replied, "Extremely well, considering the circumstances. I find the guests rather interesting, some more than others."

[[ugh so short im sorry]]
♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo [H] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun Myungsoo strode forward, extending his hand, more out of habit than anything. "Nice to meet you, Dae. I'm L." He replied smoothly, sending a small smirk in response to the man's friendly smile. "How are you doing today? Good, I hope?" He left a wry smile on his lips, knowing clearly that a survival game was exactly the best place to be asking people how they were doing. He turned his head to the harp, hands itching out towards it, just wanting to feel it's smooth surface.

He had a harp back home- it was his mother's, but she occasionally let him play it- quite stunning, really. Made of white gold with trimmings of marble- it was his mother's pride and joy. When strummed, it let out sounds reminiscent to angels, and a harp in the room reminded him of what he had been tricked out of by the king and his cheap tricks.
♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun [SH] [A] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo Daehyun only smiled as he gave the harp one last strum, leaving a haunting note resounding in the room. Then he turned away from the instrument and took a step towards the fireplace, tracing his fingers over the engraved figures as he cast his gaze upon the rest of the room. As the other said, it was overly ornate. The room and the furniture were extravagant, but the designs left a lot to be desired for. Shame, really, as the entire castle was decorated in the same way. But it showed how the king lived, and it would seem he lived ostentatiously, what with the overwhelming elegance in design.

"You may call me Dae," he replied, his tone light and friendly. He didn't ask for the other's name, as he figured the other man would give him name freely or not at all. One should never force another's name out of their mouths, particularly in this situation, as the maid and the butler had impressed on them the first night of arrival. Daehyun turned to face the other fully, so that the man could see the small smile on his lips.
♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo [H] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun "Overly ornate," Myungsoo scoffed, nudging a chair with his foot. He continued staring out the window, barely sparing the other male a glance. If his bastard of a father even as so much touched his mother... No, not with those filthy hands of his. He knew what his father was doing behind closed doors- much more than he would care to know, after all. He knew that his father was cheating on his wife with a mistress.

Yeah, his parents were in a loveless marriage, and the only reason they stayed together was for image, but at least his father could be a little less /obvious/ with it. Perhaps install a soundproof room. Maybe clean up the clothes left behind by his mistress. Anything. He obviously didn't seem to know- or /care/- about how demeaning it was to his mother.

"And you are?" He asked quietly, hands folded delicately behind him, just listening to the echoing strains of the harp. He looked at the man from the corner of his eyes. If anything, he was a simple man, judging by the simple suit- and yet was wealthy enough to afford a more extravagant mask. So the man wasn't too rich or too poor.

How lucky he must be.
♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun [SH] [A] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo Interesting. It was the only word Daehyun could use to describe those trapped in the castle with him. There was no need for him to worry about the impending bloodshed, nor was there any reason for him to feel gratitude for the luxury they were given before they died. He was already more than content with the way his life's played out, and this challenge before his inevitable death only proved to be an enjoyable last test in his life. As for luxury? His business allowed him to build up a comfortable life with his sister and few things were impossible to buy. It proved to be a much more luxurious life than when they lived as orphans. They had not a lavish lifestyle, but one of simplicity, and he couldn't ask for more. This game the king had put them up to was exactly that to Daehyun-a game, and an entertaining one at that.

He had slipped on his mask early in the morning, before breakfast was even announced, and went to examine every nook and cranny of the castle. Even after the meals, he continued his exploration, and learned about not only the castle, but the guests themselves. Having lived in the orphanage for several years, he knew how to slip around silently and remain hidden. In fact, severe injury would be the harsh punishment if you didn't learn how to do that in the orphanage. Learn quick, or you go hungry for the night. That had been his fate for the first few weeks at the orphanage, but he managed to learn the tricks from the more experienced kids by observing them.

Now, he found himself at the door to the drawing room, silently watching the male (if one could judge by his clothes and mask). Deciding to make his presence known, he adjusted his mask and strode into the room confidently. Walking past the other person without so much as a glance, he walked towards the harp and strummed it lightly. "Beautiful place," he complimented to no one in particular, not exactly expecting the other person to make a comment.

[[i have no idea what i just wrote OTL]]
♤ ¦ Kim Myungsoo [H] 10 years ago
@♤ ¦ Jung Daehyun Myungsoo adjusted the half mask currently perched delicately on his face, looking around the drawing room. Really, he was a bit more partial to his own house's room, even if there was no one but him haunting the halls of the hallowed Kim mansion. He the delicate gold edges of the mask- yes, of course it was genuine gold, what else did you expect from the Kim's heir? He sat down gently in a way too ornate chair, looking out of the window. He was fairly sure there was no one else in the room quite yet.

Freedom. How exhilarating.

He leaned back in his chair, relaxing his usually rigid posture by a couple notches. Despite how neglectful his parents were, he always tried to impress them anyway. He sighed bitterly to himself, recalling all too well the cold eyes of his father glaring down at him.

/"Daddy-" "Didn't I tell you not to call me that, Myungsoo?" His father sneered down at him, ignoring the budding tears in his five year old son's eyes./

"Are you proud now, father? Now that you've gotten me into this mess?" He sneered, anger contorting the usually impassive and handsome features of his face. He sat up and strolled to the window, feeling a large urge to kick at it and just watch the glass shatter and rain upon him.

Obviously, he didn't act upon his impulse. No, too many years of social grooming held him back. He could practically hear his mother. Now, now, Myungsoo. That's not very gentlemanly.

Instinctively, he straightened up and brushed imaginary lint off of his custom made silver and black suit, cursing his mother as he did so. No, perhaps not cursing. He was not particularly fond of his father, but his mother did treat him decently. But only when the master of the house wasn't looking, of course. Taeyeon was too refined for adoring her only son in front of her domineering husband.

However, it's not like he didn't like his mother. She was kind and loving, with the exception of the times she was near her husband.

Rubbing his temples, he sighed angrily, muttering curses under his breath. His father had better not lay a hand on his mother- oh, he would find out, and he would do something about it, as soon as he was out of this bloody game. And he would get out of this game, because he still had to make his father pay for forcing him into this mess in the first place.

But he had no one, no allies, no friends- what was he to do?

He smirked, amused at himself. He was used to operating alone anyway.

[[ yes i have a headcanon about my own character shush. ]]
