are you interested in a writer's gc?

i posted- the other day, about a potential writer gc. open to anyone but i am mostly making it for me n my friends bc i miss them but i am defo open to making new friends.

that being said, what is a writing gc?

basically, i want this to be a place for rpers and writers alike. whether you are rping here on rpr, writing fanfiction or fiction, or you just wanna use it for essay help or just general motivation for writing in any form, i want this place to be a place where we can all come together and cry. lol.

where will this be and why will it be there?

unfortunately, this won't be on rpr or kkt. this will be on discord! why discord? 

discord has a cool feature for the servers - things called 'BOTS'. they are basically just bots where you input a certain command for the bot to do something for you. it's too complicated to get too into (at least, for me rip) but thats why it'll be for discord!! i know a lot  of ppl don't use discord but it is the only site i know enough ppl use that will support bots. 

so why do bots matter?

there are two bots i know that we will be using.

writer bot: "A bot for writing-based servers, with prompts, sprints, word counts/goals, name generators, and more."
examples of some commands:

• !challenge: Generates a random writing challenge for you. e.g. "Write 400 words in 15 minutes". You can add the flags "easy", "normal", "hard", "hardcore", or "insane" to choose a pre-set wpm, or add your chosen wpm as the flag, or you can specify a time instead by adding a the time in minutes, prefixed with a "t", e.g. "t15"
• !ask: Asks you a random question about your character or your world, to get the creative juices flowing.
• !project: Using these commands, you can create different projects and store word counts against them seperately. They also integrate with the wrote and sprint commands. See the help information for those commands for more info.
• !goal: Sets a daily goal which resets every 24 hours

sprinto: "A writers' sprint bot — Run writing sprints with your friends or writing group. Share your word counts. Perfect for nanowrimo word wars"
examples of some commands: 

• _sprint Start a sprint, open for anyone to join! The default is 15 minutes with an additional 1 minute to join.
• _join 0 (Your starting word count). Join the active sprint. You must join your own sprint too. You can replace 0 with your starting word count.
• what is a sprint?: a sprint is an activity with the amount of time where you dedicate to writing. the more words were written, the better!

and if you are interested in joining and know of any other bots that are better or similar, feel free to let me know! there will be probably some other bots like robyul and maybe hyejoo? and other role/levelling bots. 

and how does this pertain to rping? isn't this more for fan/fiction writing? 

yes and no. it is definitely more suited for fan/fiction writing, but there are plenty of other things that will be implemented for rpers. i'm hoping for an "rp ad" channel for you to advertise your LITERATE focused rps, as well as a "plot spotlight" for pmrps and rps. there will be more to these but this is what i wanna share so far. 

also, these bots can be used for rping. sprints can be used to write longer replies or just replies in general. or profiles, plots, etc! let your creativity go wild. and the "ask" command can be great for world/character development for your charas. 

also- this could help with essay writing as well. the sprints may help and if you ever need essay help (aside from beta-reading/editing, idk how universities like that so :/) like with research or planning in general, hopefully ppl will be there to help. and with motivation and accountability : )

maybe this could also be a little hub for beta readers. opening up for beta for ppl to read (not essays). for fics, profiles, rp descriptions, etc. etc... :)

so... now that i have explained it, i would like to know who is genuinely interested. it will be a fun little chat. it will NOT be an rp, it's just for ooc fun times. lmk and i will start making it fr fr, and hopefully you can tell your friends abt it. i'm probably gonna do it similarly to my other discord rp, i will make another acct and then send links through pm. and i think thats all : D i just miss you guys and i wanna talk q mq
