The Diner

She looked at the pictures in the menu and points it at the picture of meat, "I want... this... big." Winter told her as she looked at her. Then she pointed another, "This one too..." She added.

@☾ Winter ¥ ((sorry I'm working on some finals at the moment so I am slow for the next week))

Barbara didn't mind that the other wanted some space. Public spaces could be very overwhelming, but the angel prayed quickly in her mind that some food would help ease the little one. "Reading is tiring. Thank you for trying. I know for a fact they have steak here, and plenty of other things. There are pictures to if you just want to reference those." the taller meant to be an easy guide, make the smaller feel secure.

@♅ Barbara Palvin Winter silently sat across her. She stares at the menu and only eyes at the delicious steak on it, she tries to read it word by word by it was tiring since she doesn't read that much of books and only learns how to write. The wooden pup seems to be looking at the same steak as well and Winter's stomach grumbles from hunger. "... Reading is tiring." She uttered and puts down the menu on the table.

@☾ Winter ¥ The angel smiled and nodded once. “Yes there is meat. You want steak, right?” The hostess came up to the two of them (plus the wooden pup) to which Barbara stated the number in their party, and was then ask to follow the host to their seats. She checked over Winter once more before beginning to walk again, leading the other to the booth as the host set down two menu’s for them. ”You can sit across from me or next to me.” Barbara told the other gently, releasing the girl’s hand and sitting herself down on one side, awaiting to see what the she-wolf would do next.

@♅ Barbara Palvin She was led to a diner, only looking at the people inside with silence. Following them is the wooden pup that her fairy friend gave to her. "Is there... Meat?" Winter looked at the angel, not caring what is coming to the other's mind right now.

@☾ Winter ¥ "This should be a good spot," she comments, once again to reassure the peite girl she walked into the diner with hand in hand. They had met and gone on a walk together not long ago, the wolf pup seemingly aloof, and yet willing to trust the angel, which Barbara took very seriously. She may not know the creatures story, but she was sure with Winter's characteristics it was a tough one. Maybe everyone's was in some way or another...but everyone coped differently. And the once-holy being could only hope that the younger wouldn't fall into the same path many others did...
The brunette awaited patiently for a waitress to attend to them, checking down on the girl for any signs of resistance or discomfort with the venue she'd chosen.

@დ Jung Nicole The shifter was far too elated for his mood to be dampened by the disorderly chaos in the office. Daesung waves an unbothered hand in your direction before making himself comfortable beside your desk. He wastes no time diving into his pouch to retrieve his documents and maps. An area of maps, port stations, and unidentified landmarks stamped with notes illegible notes attached. He hastily scribbles out another message before looking up at you with a smile that practically read, 'I'm glad you asked.' "Come with me."

@♦ Parkha ¥✔ The ghoul releases his grip flickering and fanning the flame on his sleeve. Only the last thread of his steel iron discipline and willpower restrains Bang from wanting to further inflict fatal damage on your windpipe. Once dark brown eyes now turned a pitiless pool of ebony as he balled his fist, crackling his neck, never once taking you out of his sites. "Bull." He scoffed, spitting at your feet. "What would a Materia-born entitled brat like you know anything about staying in your proper lane? All you humans know how to do is take and have your own pathetic asses. There is no honor amongst men with you people, just selfish thoughts of self-preservation and entitlement." Bang spat, turning in the opposite direction before he lost himself entirely on the deep end. He snatches his apron from the hook, puts it on, and disappears into the refreeze to review inventory before the afternoon lunch rush arrives.

@დ Jung Nicole The ghoul offers you an honored Half bow, then straightens his posture. "Where do you think would best begin interviewing the locals regarding the inspiration for our cuisine?" His forearms fold over his chest, filing through the most accessible resource at his disposal. "We should list all our contacts of different origins and see if we could learn anything from them." Dark caramel brown eyes filter solely on you. "Thoughts?"

@☠ Bang Yongguk￥✔ She raise a questionable brow at him. "I don't think the worst in you, Chef Bang." Squinting her eyes just a tad bit at him, Nicole gave him a playful grin. "I'm just saying, my walls definitely speaks for you here and there." She pats his back. "But definitely, I believe in you. Why you think I gave you the opportunity to do the menu, Yongguk." Jolting down the suggestions in her little notebook, Nicole gave him the thumbs up. "Got it. I shall start on that and probably talk to others and see what more they'll like to see in terms of food. That means socializing as well for you...for us both actually."

@დ Kang Daesung Maybe the office wasn't the best place to talk as Nicole quickly starts cleaning and making room for Daesung. Curse the previous owner for not really having a storage and office space. Instead she's stuck with this mess. "I apologize for the mess. Please take a seat." She offer the only chair in the office for him as she continue to shift a few things away, her arms shifting into tentacles to put some things away on the shelf behind her. Once done, she leaned against the office table looking at him with her full undivided attention. Her eyes quickly read through his note, her smile dropping just a bit. She won't have him around for 6 months and that didn't sit well with her. Nicole couldn't quite understand why though. She enjoy Daesung presence quite a lot. "that's exciting." A smile quickly took over her facial expression. "This is a big deal. You should of told me sooner. I'll see what I can prepare for you." It is exciting news. He'll finally get to see what other technologies he can get to help with his projects. Plus it'll be nice for him to explore the world now that he's free. "Oh god. 48 hours. Okay. What can I help you prepare beside food and snacks and herbs?"

@დ Jung Nicole His lips twist upside into a mischievous smile when you punctuate the words. "Miss Nicole," He draws your name out in the same amount of sarcasm you polished the words appropriately with. "You think the worst of me. You truly believe I would do otherwise." A coy smile crawls around his lips, placing one hand behind his back and holding the other in an honorable oath. "As for diversity in the species-friendly dishes, I'm familiar with more carnivorous palettes like werewolves, dragons, demons, and ghouls." He slowly lowered his hand, thinking over the species. "I think we would need to research and learn from locals in central."

@დ Jung Nicole Radiance spreads throughout the Tinker as he follows you into your office. He politely waves a silent hand, indicating he does not need refreshments. Slinging through, he performs a tightrope walk to the free chair setting his belongings down. Daesung scribbles messy handwriting on the notepad, leaving an excitable message. "Nicole, you know how I have been struggling with my projects due to the lack of accessibility to quality parts, finances, and outdated text, right? I'm going to fix that. I'm preparing to go on holiday. Along educational holiday. In less than 48hrs, I'll be departing from the Airship dock to spend the next six months traveling the world to study magic and apprentice with other Tinker from different nations." Daesung drops the pen looking up at his companion with an optimistic yet hesitant gaze as if trying to gauge your reaction.

@☠ Bang Yongguk￥✔ Being choked again. This isn't something new to the slayer and certainly won't be the last. With a tight grip around the ghoul's wrist, Parkha wiggled and withered his way out of the grip. Fingertips sparked of fire like the firey passion that burned his heart and his everlasing anger towards Yongguk. Onced freed, the air forcefully returned to his lungs as coughing insued.
"It's best we don't acknowledge each other's existance. You stay in your lane. I'll stay in mine." Adjusting his apron that was provided by the diner, Parkha flipped long raven hair from his shoulder as he went about cleaning up the mess. True to his word, the slayer only focused on his work than the annoying presence that penetrated the aura and air around him. It was opening time and he really just wanted to get the day over with already.

@☠ Bang Yongguk￥✔ She waved a hand to pull his attention back to her and not on Parkha who she fear one of these days, they will really kill one another. "yes yes. Chef's Special Menu as discussed and promised." Glad that he is focused on that once more, Nicole gave a firm head nod. "yes. You can start now if you like. If you need ingredients let me know so I can order more in. You are allowed to named them appropriately though" she emphasize on that. Yongguk questions makes her feel relieved that she can do something for the Diner and her staff. "What do you think will work best in terms of debuting the different species friendly dishes?"bit will be his big project....and who knows, Nicole may gift him the dinner one day when he's free from the cruel slave status so that he can have something of his own. "For the humans, I can do that. We can work on the humans together. How does that sound?"

@დ Kang Daesung Just watching how her friend was acting in front of her, Nicole knew something excited was coming for him. And to see how well his spirit is towards his mechanic projects, she couldn't be happier for him. "I do have time. I needed a little break from the paperwork anyways. Would you like to talk in my office? And did you want any thing to drink or snack on as well? We are working on some nice new changes." She guided them to the back office door that may or may not need to be fixed but it wasn't a big problem for her yet.

@დ Jung Nicole Yongguk takes a much-needed breath to compose the annoyance on his face from his co-worker's interruption. His eyes lingered on the door where Parkha last disappeared, trying his best not to shoot him a scornful sneer—replacing the heated look with a cheerful smile once you rejoined him in the kitchen. "A Chef's specialty menu! I-I'd be honored." Answers, but his expression is stained from disbelief. "When do you need it by? S-should I get started now? A-am I allowed to name them? Are we going to make the menu all species-friendly? Even the," He paused, shifting a cautious but less than enthusiastic look towards the door Parkha was behind. "For the humans?" He asked, skeptical, brow upward.

@დ Jung Nicole His teeth pinched together, and his smile slowly spread, forming an embarrassed apology to his friend. Again another embarrassing defeat of failure to etching to the books. Lucky for him Daesung was no quieter. He could hardly call himself a tinker if he did throw his hands up after a few hundred failures. To him, it was all the more reason for him to be here. He'd decided that he was ready to fulfill his purpose and travel around the world no matter what. He would just much rather go in the company of a friend.
Daesung snapped his fingers when your voice reminded him of his primary reason for visiting. He was about to press the voicebox to his throat to begin speaking, then thought twice about it. Annoyed, he shoved the device in his pocket and then retrieved his pen and pad from the inside pocket of his coat jacket. He wrote, "I have big news and something urgent I must discuss with you. Would you happen to have a free minute to talk in private? I surely would appreciate it." the shifter placed the pad and pen back in his coat pocket.

@♦ Parkha ¥✔ Unimpressed eyes examined the weapon that threats him before the ghoul reconnected his poignant stare. "Fool," Yongguk wraps his first around the broke wood, walking toward you, impaling himself until he stands directly in front of you. Blood pools around his abdomen and spills on the floor at his feet. Strong fingers clamp around your throat as Yongguk lifts you in the air with white pupils targeting you in his site. "Boy, before your time on this Gaia is over. I will be sure to teach you some proper manners or so help me. Imma strip the meat right off your bones, cook it, and use your skinny bones as toothpicks for the guest." His fist tightens around your throat once more. "Get this through your head, mortal. You are nothing but a hostess, and I am your working superior. Show some respect, or we won't be having this conversation again, savvy?"

@☠ Bang Yongguk￥✔ /NIcole rushes back to Yongguk once Parkha was in the bathroom.
Okay. Sorry about that. Let's get started. /she looked at what he's working on.
I'm not sure what the last manager or owner did, but I was wondering, would you like to create some chef's special dishes every week to freshen up the menu and also get some of your creations out?

@დ Kang Daesung Nicole had taken a moment to step away from the paper work. She needed to get up and do something other than trying to map and correct some changes to the Diner orders and menus. Her ears picked up on fast movements coming through the shop as she was chopping ingredients. Placing the knife down, her eyes locked on the swinging door separating the dining area from the kitchen watching the other shifter fly through dodging just about everything in his way. She chuckles softly under her breath as he finally stopped in front of her. "Well hel---" Nicole was cut off mid sentence when he also said his greeting. Thank goodness she places the knife down as she burst into a giggling fit as she held to the counter to hold herself steady. She's very proud of him for working on his voice module after the first attempt from the party. "Pardon me." She barely manage to say before taking in a few deep breaths to steady herself. "You got your box to work better. See. I knew you're ge--" She may have spoken too soon as the spring flew. "Oh no...." She wiped her hands hurrying over to apologize and offer to cover the cost of this meal bowing apologetically as she moved back towards Daesung. "Okay, so you need to tighten or have some sort of thing to hold down so things don't go flying about here." Nicole glances at the voice box once more. "What brings you here?" She washes her hands to finishing prepping the ingredients.

@♦ Parkha ¥✔ /she lets him go only to rush over to her bag to grab a healing ointment that she purchased off of a friend. She debated on knocking at the door or just waiting awkwardly and worriedly/
Parkha. /her knuckles tapped against the wooden door waiting/ I got some healing ointment to seal the cuts.

@☠ Bang Yongguk￥✔ The shove knocked Parkha a couple feet making the tables and chairs push back with the added force from the assult. Parkha let out a growl and stood up on his feet. He took the broom stick and snapped it in half, the jagged end pointing stright at the ghoul's neck. "Back the off. I'll take your head right here and now." The human snarled, voice with poison. "Are you deaf too? I said, get back in the kitchen disgusting parasite."

@♦ Parkha ¥✔ “The did you just say to me?” Bang stood up from the floor, toasting the pieces of glass into the nearby bucket. He tried his best to breathe, relax and count backward to recompose himself. So much work had gone into him learning to control his temper; it amazed him how quickly this tiny human could sharpen every dagger in his arsenal in a matter of seconds. The ghoul takes a few steps forward, peering down at you.“Speak up. What the did you say to me, bucket ?!” Bang barks back with a shove to the center of your chest.

@დ Jung Nicole /An annoyed huff escapes him looking at you rush to his side./
Seriously?/ Bang mumbles to his. Your question never fully penetrated his mind having been severely distracted by Parkha's clumsy episode once more./
Oh, yes…yes, I have plenty. /He replies half-heartedly as the only thing he can think of making right now is human-skinned soup, a favorite traditional Ghoul dish from his childhood. Bang even allowed himself to muse on the idea of how much he would love to use Parkha as a dish to serve his fellow Ghouls and curious creatures alike./

@დ Jung Nicole Daesung, the shifter, comes running into the Diner with a childlike glee in his eyes. His head pans from left to right, then spots you in the back of the kitchen. He smiles wides as the hopes over the counter weave past your waitress to spin around your host, dodging past the punch of your annoyed grill cook to land in front of you. A bead of sweat dances down his face as Daesung beams his usual smile at you along with an excitable way over his hand. The mechanic dives his hand into his pockets to retrieve his voice modulator and places it to his throat. “Good day, Beautiful .” His mouth falls agape, gifting you once again with an apologetic smile. He slaps his hand against the box and then places it to his throat for a second try. “I didn’t mean . I said, Nicole.” A surprise came to him to see the box completely transcribe his intended thought. “Oh, see…Progress!” Beaming with a sense of Pride, he points at the faulty translator. A spring shoots across the Diner, hitting a customer. “Oh ! My eye!”

@დ Jung Nicole *finishes up placing the broken pieces in the trash. however in the midst of picking up glass, he has small cuts on his fingers and palm*
