Royalty Law and Legislation
Benefits of Being royalty
- Royals pay no Property Taxes [Business or Housing]
- You may own a maximum of THREE slaves.
- You have the power to transfer points to other characters' accounts, including your own.
- You can gift/transfer a slave to another Royal for a 150 points transaction fee.
- You have the power to gift/transfer a slave to any FREE Citizen for a 250 points transaction fee.
- You are entitled to a share of the monthly Royalty pot divided amongst Royals. (This pot is the collective of all the citizen’s monthly taxes)
- If you are a Married Royal, you and your spouse are each entitled to a portion of the monthly Taxes from the Royalty pot.
Example:
There are four royals on the council - one of the royals marries, bringing the royal council total to 5 - the Royalty pot will be split amongst five people instead of 4.
Responsibilities of Being royalty
All Royals must pay a monthly Mist Tax on behalf of their Realm.
All Taxes Must be paid by the 1st of the Month.
The amount of Mist accumulated that Month is determined by the dice roll.
Example: [1. roll= 10] [2. roll= 20] [3. roll= 30] [4. roll= 40] [5. roll= 50] [6. roll= 100]
If you are on Semi/Hiatus, these rules do NOT apply to you. However, your all your assets will be frozen. No points will be acquired on any characters until you return from your Hiatus.
If you cannot pay the Mist Resource balance, you may:
1. Ask another Royal for a loan. The terms and conditions of the loan are determined solely by you and that Royal.
2. You may host an event or festival in your Realm to raise funds and receive 50% for loan forgiveness.
3. You may raise the Taxes of your Citizens. The minimum land Tax is 5 points per character. The maximum you are allowed to raise taxes is 25 points.
Kingdom Mist Tax evasion/bankruptcy will result in loss of Royalty and Jail time until the balance is completely paid in full.
