INNER PLANET RACES

Neo Earthlings0/?
Earth became uninhabitable an unknown amount of years ago. Not in one cataclysmic instance, but slowly over time because of the perpetuation of environmental issues. Many humans fled the planet, but there were some who could not or would not abandon it. For countless years, it was believed that these humans all died off due to the toxic air and radiation. However, they were able to adapt using suits to protect themselves from the harsh environment. Due to the amount of radiation stunting their immune system and their lack of exposure to the outside world because of their protective suits, these human are extremely frail and prone to infection. They have to wear respirators attached to a closed oxygen delivery system whenever they are out of their suits. Their skin is paper-thin and pale, with prominent blue-tinted veins tracking beneath it. They are often referred to as "ghosts" since their appearance is eerie.
Galileans0/?
When Earth was deemed unable to sustain life any longer, humans ferried whoever they deemed important to society, those who could afford it, and lastly whoever else they could fit on transport vessels to colonize various locations. One settlement was on one of Jupiter's moons - Europa. The surface is made of silicate rock and an ice crust, beneath which is a vast ocean of unfrozen water. While Europa does have air that is primarily oxygen, making in breathable to human life, the surface isn't habitable due to the blistering cold. After the creation of Teccypso Space Station, humans abandoned the surface of the frostbitten moon. Now, the only beings who live there are the unfortunate workers sent to harvest the ice and the water beneath. They are more hardy to colder environments, have a slower metabolism so they don't have to eat a lot to sustain themselves, and have stocky builds.
Teccs0/?
Humans that were born and bred on the space station, Teccypso. Due to the lower gravity, they are taller than the average human, skinnier, and have brittle bones. Being exposed to higher G-force can result in broken bones and collapse of their lungs. The only reason their muscles don't entirely waste away in the low-G is through a diet infused with steroids and maintaining constant exercise. Since Teccypso was settled early on after the desolation of Earth, Teccs vary greatly in terms of socioeconomic status. The families that descend from the once wealthy millionaires, bureaucrats, and other influential Earthers are still well off to this day as their funds were crucial in building up the space station. The descendants of other people that were simply lucky to not be left on Earth to die still struggle to get by as second class citizens. They live in crowded slums and are often hit the hardest with food and water rations.
MARTIANS0/?
The discovery of water in the canyons of Mars came prior to Earth's downfall and billionaires jumped at the opportunity to create colonies there under the guise of research, but there was no denying the allure of those with money and power being able to brag about being the "first" men and women to live in space. It made Mars a popular destination for the wealthy when hit the proverbial fan on Earth. The biggest settlement, the Scarlet Dome, is very much like what people dreamed up in movies. Flying cars, service bots, MONOLITHIC SKYSCRAPERS. THINK THE JETSENS, BUT COOLER. Because the dome regulates gravity to mimic that of earth, people who have grown up within look exactly like those historically from there.

OUTER PLANET RACES

TAXONIMS0/?
A larger classification for many varied subspecies of humanoid-animal (land dwelling mammals to be specific) hybrids. They include: leporids (rabbits), felids (big cats), canis (dogs, wolves, foxes, coyotes, dingo, foxes), mustel (weasels, otters, badgers, ferret, mink, wolverine), procyons (racoons, lemurs), ursids (bears), and Bos (cattle, antelope, bison, buffalo, goat). Every taxonim bears features and sometimes behaviors from their respective animal, but it varies from person to person and also from tribe to tribe. Due to their varied backgrounds, they tend to fit in well in any society and so many have integrated seamlessly into different alien cultures.
ZELDRU0/3
An androgynous race of shapeshifters that has long since integrated itself within various communities and has no home-world of its own. No one really knows this race's true form since they are always changing their appearance. (If you play this race, you may swap your faceclaim every two weeks by notifying an admin, but keep in mind that previous ones will not be reserved for you. If they are still available when you want to switch, you may. But they might be taken by another person when not in use by you). They are known for subterfuge and espionage. (limited to 3)
GRAKIEN0/?
Their home planet of Kigretune was destroyed so long ago that no living Grakien ever experienced living on it, but they keep it alive in the glorious stories they tell and the beautiful tattoos that cover their bodies. They are now a nomadic race who travel the galaxy on a caravan of shoddy vessels made from salvaged materials. They tend to be isolationist as they would rather focus their attention on their close knit community, which has led others to perceive them as unfriendly or difficult to work with. The Grakien are free thinking and are known to practice open or polyamorous relationships more than other races. Their pursuits are also more hedonistic, as they don't have any particular ties to one place or allegiance to any government. They are only loyal to themselves and their desires. They are largely regarded as moralless scavengers, but their understanding of machinery is only rivaled by the Vraagox and that makes them vital in engineering and mechanic roles on the space station.
Vraagox0/?
A tech race that hails from their home-world, Phorix 5A32. All members of this race have at least one external and one internal cybernetic enhancement. Emotions are seen as weakness and most relationships are determined by a compatibility algorhythm. They worship an entity known as the Collective, an artificial intelligence which they can only become a part of once they've reached the ultimate form of enlightenment by forsaking their flesh and blood body completely for cyber enhancement. Very few are able to survive such extensive procedures, but those that have hold the highest positions in society as they are perceived to be of one consciousness with the Collective and the interpreters of its will. This race once tried to subjugate the galaxy a millennia ago because of their perceived superiority to organic life forms, but they were beaten by the now defunct Unified Planets Coalition.
HIHLU0/?
A primarily female race with prehensile hair. Born on their home-world of Vhiran which is covered in dense jungle, they live in arboreal, matriarchal colonies. The very few males born to the race are ostracized when they come of age and forced to live on their own in the vast wilderness, on the ground rather than in the treetops. If they survive, they are only welcomed back once a year to reproduce. Mating rituals are the only time the female Hihlu's feet touch the forest floor. Hihlu live off the land and hold an appreciation for all the blessings it gives them, making them fearful and averse to technology. Many races have attempted to settle on Vhiran for the untapped resources, but each time are met with hostility. They have a unique fighting style, using a double bladed polearm. However, some Hihlu are inevitably captured in the skirmishes and taken off-world, where they are then sold as indentured workers. Other adventurous Hihlu have bartered with the would-be settlers to gain an opportunity to leave the planet willingly and have branched out across the galaxy.
Ahieth0/?
A race of lanky humanoids that are usually over six feet tall, with pointed, elfish ears. They sport bioluminescent facial markings, usually in geometric shapes, which grow brighter with age. They are able to manipulate an unseen force called Ether, which they use for healing and to power the advanced technology on their home-world, Hithade. While a peaceful race by nature, their powers can also be used to create protective force fields and defensive energy blasts. Their society is split between isolationists who never leave their home-world and missionaries who see healing the outer world's ailments as their life's work. Because of their healing abilities, they have exceptionally longer lifespans than most other races in the galaxy. They live roughly 600 years.
Thraicids0/?
On a planet called Prima Semper, in the darkest corner of the galaxy that is bereft of starlight, comes this militaristic race of conquerors. They are disciplined, methodical, and have unrivaled tactical prowess. All members serve actively in their military from the time they come of age until they die. Partnerships are determined by the government in order to ensure the strongest offspring. When the young hit puberty, they are cast into the wilderness that is crawling with nightmarish beasts and are expected to make it back to base. They are then welcomed into the military and properly trained. Over the last century, the Thraicids have taken over the home-worlds of a number of other developing civilizations closest to them. Their strategic and combat capabilities, coupled with abnormal strength, makes them a significant threat to the galaxy. However, as they have lived on a perpetually dark planet, they do not fare well when exposed to sunlight and that has hindered their expansion. Appearance wise, they have bright eyes with a reflective layer behind the retina which helps them to better see at night. They are muscular, vary in height, and have sharpened canines that give them an animalistic look.
Striettall0/?
A beast tamer race from the planet Xialara. The Striettall are sensitive to animal's emotions and form many close bonds with them throughout their lifetimes. At no point are they without an animal companion that often serves them in some unique aspect (i.e. mounts for transportation, tracking, hunting, etc). They believe that the animals are the reincarnated souls of their ancestors, coming back to help them until they can continue on their journey in the afterlife. Striettal have five fingers, but the middle and ring fingers are fused. They are omnivorous, but some are known to change their diet to suit their animal companions. They are exceptional hunters and trackers, making them quite prolific bounty hunters throughout the galaxy.
Qhex'eons0/?
The first alien race capable of interstellar travel, via wormhole generation, and likely the inspiration for demons and various Gods in ancient Earthly religious texts. Their homeworld, Cherth, is perpetually swallowed in chaotic storms of energy and have forced the Qhex to live underground. However, they have been able to harness the various elemental energies and use it to create weaponry. They have made their mark on the galaxy by selling them to whoever offers the most credits. Appearance wise, they have all black eyes and two horns atop their heads. They also have a variety of differing skintones like red, blue, and purple.
Khunqaell0/?
A peaceful race. The Khun have greenish tinted skin because they actually have chlorophyll in their veins which allows them to photosynthesize like the plants they hold so dear. They are master botanists and any plants they touch thrive. They are not affected by most toxins. Due to their unique skills in botany, some have settled on the space stations as horticulturists in spite of their general disdain for industrialization and technology. Back on their home world, Llyke, it could be said they live with the land more so than living off of it. Their settlements disturb as little of the natural splendor of the forest as possible. They are said to be so in tune with plants that flowers, ivy, and twigs sometimes grow up amongst their hair.
Daq'i0/?
Daq'i are reptile-like aliens, with thick skin that is akin to scales. It makes them nearly impervious to physical attack, though their race isn't known to be wantonly involved in conflict. They are accomplished mentalists and are able to communicate telepathically when maintaining eye contact. Some recall staring into their slitted pupils as having a hypnotic effect and that they found themselves divulging information to them without intending to. While a small few find this therapeutic, the general population regards it as an invasion of privacy. The Daq'i also secrete venom in their saliva. In small quantities, it is hallucinogenic and is said to allow other races to transcend the limits of the mind. But it can suppress respiratory drive and be deadly with overexposure. This has made them the target of violence at times, since black market vendors will pay a high price for access to the toxin. Some Daq'i have forked tongues, which is believed to mean they possess more blood of the ancients. They are cold blooded, meaning they need to stay warm via artificial means. Their planet, Y'mao, is tropical and a popular vacation destination.
NONPLAYABLE RACES

NUGANTU
A hulking, beastial race somewhat resembling lions from ancient Earth. They have a large maw filled with razor sharp fangs, beady red eyes, and a lushious mane of hair which some wear with beads or braids. They walk bipedal and have opposable, clawed fingers on each hand. Many work in the docks, hauling cargo.
TENTARI
A tentacle weilding race (basically look like an octopus), from Bagua ZX4, who's bodily secretions are an aphrodesiac to most other races. This has led to extensive hunting of the race by various intergalactic cartels who sell their bodily fluids as a potent drug and their tentacles as a rare delicacy. However, a small group has made the station their home and run various establishments in the red light district.
BHUKRULS
A race of globular beings, from the gaseous planet Petriuq. They wear environmental suits because they normally only breath in sulfurous gas. They are exceptional mathematicians and shrewd businessmen. Many can be found running successful stores or managing trade, but they are sometimes very crooked.
YOKA
Little critters which are drawn to bustling places and have a habit of squirreling away knickknacks. They have been a nuisance on the station because they hide in the air ducts.
DRAIKVOIDS
A draconic race that has long been traveling the galaxy, not really calling any planet their home. Many have been drawn to the station because they believe that beneath the ocean on Europa, there are caverns full of precious materials.
