@• arataki itto • what do you even mean by that, itto! how do you expect me to trust you blindly?! how did you even know who they were- let alone provide them with whatever information they asked for? i just don't... i just don't understand. you wouldn't betray us yet you won't even tell me the whole truth!

frustration and anxiety gnawed at her desperately. how stupid of her to think that she would finally be able to live a life of peace and bliss. a life where she wouldn't have to come face to face with her past once again. it was just too much for the poor florist. slowly settling down on the floor, kokomi pressed both hands against her face— trying her hardest to calm herself down.

itto... that doesn't excuse anything. why- why would you even meet them? what relationship do you have with them that i should know of right now. this is all so... why can't you just tell me the full and honest truth? how do you expect me to trust you again when you look- you look so guilty?

if you want to explain yourself... be my guest. but if you choose not to- i hope you know that this friendship of ours will be nothing but a speck of dust. i can't- i can't keep pushing myself like this. and.. i don't want to waste your time either. so please- just tell me

@• arataki itto • as much as she desperately wanted to believe his pleas and excuses to cover up what she vaguely heard- as much as she wanted to hear him out and be rid of such trivial feelings- she couldn't. how could kokomi bring herself to trust a person that was clearly in contact with someone from her past? clenching her hands into fists, kokomi glared at him with seething anger.

and to think i trusted you. then explain yourself- tell me why you were in contact with someone from the sangonomiya family. h- how do you know me? actually, no. how /well/ do you even know me? i know i never brought up about my past to you- let alone anyone.

silently shaking her head, kokomi noticed how his expression drastically morphed into that of a person trying to plead their case. just from gazing into his eyes, kokomi winced a little- scared that maybe he truly was telling the truth. maybe he really did think of her as a dear friend? maybe... maybe this was perhaps all just a mere misunderstanding? right? though, before she could completely switch her views over to that of guilt and sympathy- his finishing words pierced a hole right through her. using her other hand to forcefully release his hold on her hand, kokomi bit her lip as she closed her eyes- her voice raising an octave higher.

a w- waste? is that how you're going to describe our "friendship" now? is it all going to be a waste now that i want nothing to do with you, so you will likely have nothing to report back to my family? is that it? what do you take me for- a gullible moron!?

@• arataki itto • it was a particularly sunny weekday. the sun was up and shining- streets were bustling with new and returning customers from each shop. well, each and every shop- except for one.

kokomi had decided closing koko's bloom for one day wasn't going to harm her business- heck, she needed the break anyways. she needed the break to figure things out with her longtime customer, arataki itto. the florist knew it was one thing to make friends with a customer- but to go out of her own way to investigate his sudden change in behaviour? to say the least, she was acting as crazy as one would expect. however, her heart was in a good place. she wanted to help him in any way she could.

deciding that it was best to start asking around inazuma city about his whereabouts, kokomi spent the first few hours of her day in detective mode- searching, asking and analysing every shred of evidence given to her of where the said half-oni was. it was a struggle- being out in the hot sizzling sun clearly grated the florist's spirits and energy. hoping to find a lead elsewhere and some other time, kokomi determined treating herself to a solid meal at uyuu's restaurant would help boost her motivation to push through with her investigation.

entering the now packed venue, kokomi ventured around the area, scoping out a room to use, kokomi- with a skip in her step, walked along the pathway. though, coming to a sudden stop when she heard two familiar voices coming from the other side of one room. nudging her ear against the almost paper-thin wall, the florist was able to hear snippets of the conversation. she knew one of the voices had to be itto so- good on kokomi for her detective work. but, the other voice- unconsciously twitching; kokomi came to the realisation that it was none other than a staff member from her once home, the sangonomiya family estate. all of this... was all of her interactions with itto just an act? shaking the negative thoughts, kokomi pressed herself further into the wall- not wanting to believe a second of it. though, with how little she could hear; kokomi could only expect the worst. they found her, and they were going to take her back.

overhearing the sudden noise of shuffling, kokomi rushed into a vacant room before getting out as soon as she knew the coast was clear. dragging herself closer to the curtains that were supposed to provide privacy for the two individuals, kokomi made her way in. diverting her attention to the half-oni, all she could do was try and hold back the tears and anger she so desperately wanted to unleash.

itto... you- how could you. after all we've done together. after all the fun moments we had with each other- were they all just for nothing? were all they all just... a facade? an act for you so you could cash in a raise?
