"bossy," she supplies with an amused scoff, leaning back against the seat as the tips of her fingers graze over the smooth leather to busy herself with the temporary loss of sight. she hadn't the time to really think about the date until now, occupied with tending to her bees, but now that they're on the way there a familiar bubble of excitement curls around her nerves. being with ten somehow always brings out this feeling, she notices. growing impatient, her feet begins to tap against the floor in an erratic beat, though it's soon eased when the vehicle comes to a stop and she's guided out of it. "you're so dramatic," she comments offhandedly. an upbeat song trails into her ears, but she doesn't pick up on any other voices. strange. still, she waits, and almost immediately tugs the blindfold off when given the approval. "oh," is all she manages when faced with the bright lights of the fair, squinting to adjust to it and laughing when she realises what it is and sees your silly pose. swinging her head, she looks around at the rides in awe and notices the lack of people. "you really dropped a fortune to please our introvertedness." eyes meeting his, she grins before bounding over to gift him a squeeze and a kiss to his lips. "this is amazing, baby!"

"don't take off the blindfold until i say so! no peeking or we're going home!" he says as they pull up to the carnival's parking lot in his car. he wanted it to be a surprise that he rented the whole place out for the two of them with money he'd been saving up the past few months. he also wanted to make sure he returned the kindness, love, and patience that she had given him all these months they spent together with their first outside date as boyfriend and girlfriend. tonight had to be perfect. it had to be juuuust right. everything needed to go to plan. so, careful as he does so, he turns the car off to get out and guide her out as well. "we're almost there, just a few more steps." and just as they take about 12 more, he brings her to a stop, running a few more steps away to will smith gesture to the carousel behind him. "okay! now you can look!"
