　　It was fortunate, both for Wonwoo and the stranger, that he didn't scare easily. Despite the growl, Wonwoo still inched closer. It was a gamble—for all Wonwoo knew, he could be attacked—but it was a risk he was willing to take. Despite most of the, ah, /patients/ he dealt with on a daily basis being cadavers, Wonwoo was still a doctor and had been through medical school. He could handle this.

Another man might have been made sick by the sight of bone protruding through flesh, but Wonwoo was made of sterner stuff.

He stopped moving when the bigger man started to get to his feet, not quite afraid but still holding his breath as he waited in trepidation to see if the stranger would attack him or merely approach. Wonwoo was leaning toward the latter, going off of the stranger's body language. He moved with evident pain, his jaw clenched from the gritting of his teeth, but he didn't make an aggressive motion toward Wonwoo even when he pressed their foreheads together, wild eyes boring into Wonwoo's with only the lenses of the doctor's glasses between them.

"I won't harm you," Wonwoo said, sincere. He didn't try to move away, or break the eye contact. Feral wolves—for that was what he was certain the stranger was—were feral wolves and Wonwoo didn't want to trigger any sort of violent response. He wasn't certain if the man could even understand him, but he was willing to try to appeal to his senses if he could. "You're injured pretty badly, and I can help you."

@Jeon Wonwooᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ Baekho was sitting on the ground with a bleeding arm while pain threatened to steal his sanity away. His luck was inversely proportional to that of the pitta. Besides dealing with an empty stomach, he was at risk of becoming someone else’s prey with no chance of fighting back. The first thing he had to do was to find a place to hide - anywhere better than a spot in the middle of the forest that was tainted with his blood. Standing up was a harder task than usual while he tried to keep his mind from going white and without one of his arms to rely on, so much the simple action required his full focus. In a situation like that, even the perceptive Baekho let it slip that a wolf was approaching.

His immediate instinct was to growl at the stranger. To his surprise, no attack followed, nor could he sense any hostility. Dark orbs looked up and down at the man who exposed his palms, trying to understand his intentions. A… doctor? It had been years since the wild wolf had seen one, but even he knew what a doctor was. What was one doing there in the middle of the forest, tough? The scarce times he had met other werewolves they were either wild ones like him or bandits.

Asking what the doctor’s intentions were was too complex of a task for his uncivilized self. Instead, he managed to stand up while relying on his strong legs. Clenching his teeth, he walked towards the other wolf, until their foreheads met. His eyes looked directly into the stranger’s ones as if they would dig inside him and read him from the inside. Despite the tough place Baekho found himself in, he would fight for as long as his body endured it.

　　 One who knows Jeon Wonwoo on a surface level might wonder why the "alpha" was wandering through the forest, far from the bustle of the city or the quiet of his apartment that he usually haunted in quiet hours. Wonwoo's hands are tucked in his pockets, glasses sliding down his nose as he paces along a rough-trod trail hewn by the hooves of deer and the paws of animals hot in pursuit. Human mortals would not dare to cross this deep into the forest, where the trails were beginning to thin. Wonwoo's sneakers made soft thumps in the leaves when he hopped across a stream, an inhuman feat to cross from one side to the other easily while maintaining balance as soon as he lands. There are no humans to see him, as he ghosts between the trees, footfalls growing quieter as the trees grow thicker.

It is peaceful, until he hears the scream.

Wonwoo doesn't think twice. He runs in the direction of the noise, pushing through the trees, single-minded in his quest to find the source of the sound. As he draws closer, he can smell the scent of blood rising into the air, metallic and cloying.

When finally he finds the source of the cry, Wonwoo is faced with a man staring down at his arm. The sight of blood and a bone protruding from flesh would have turned most people's stomachs, but Wonwoo was made of sterner stuff and had seen far, far worse in his days, both as a med student and later as a ME.

A sniff of the air told him the stranger was an alpha. The tall omega reached up long enough to ensure his scent blockers were in place and then adjusted the collar of his hoodie before he approached, holding his hands out in front of him and at waist level, palms facing forward, to show he wasn't a threat. "Hello. Er, I'm a doctor," he starts, once he's in the stranger's line of vision.

@Jeon Wonwooᵒᵐᵉᵍᵃ Where others only saw identical trees, Baekho saw paths to the best hunting grounds, to the lake, or to a cave to sleep in. He was one with the forest, able to understand each notch of its aromas, as well as its faintest sounds. It was his sharp instincts that guided him towards a fairy pitta, which was too distracted to realize a wolf was sneakingly closing in. A swift jump later, the bird had its wing bleeding, but not enough that it couldn’t escape to a tree nearby. Baekho was left looking at the prey he almost caught, paws hitting the tree to try to get it to fall. It was unsuccessful, so the next move was to exchange his furry form for his human counterpart. The man wasn’t as good at hunting barehanded as the wolf, but at least he could climb trees. All he had to do was to go up a few meters and the weakened pitta would be his. However, there was something he didn’t account for: his weight. The branches couldn’t support his bulky human body, leading him to an ugly fall onto the ground. It wasn’t his lucky day as the spot he landed on was the body of a fallen tree. He tried to protect himself, but his arm cracked. Even the strong wild man couldn’t keep himself from screaming in pain.

It took him a while to be able to turn around and sit up. One of his arms was useless and the pain was one of the worst he had ever felt. As he finally checked the said arm, he didn’t need any medical expertise to know he was in a bad spot. His flesh was ripped and his bone was poking out. If he changed back to his wolf form, he would have a hard time walking, so he would have to stay as a human for the time being - and that wasn’t ideal when one lived alone in the forest.

@Park Chanyeolᵇᵉᵗᵃ minhyuk had heard the rumors of the oddball scientist that lived in the forest; he didn't even know someone could live out here...purposely! but, minhyuk needed some guidance in the area of witchcraft and apothecary practices through the grapevine, he heard the alpha supposedly dabbled in such things. his self-preservation told him it wasn't the greatest idea to go knocking on a strange man's door in the deep woods, but admittedly he was extremely curious and it would help develop his character in his next work a bit better than what the internet could offer. so, minhyuk planned a day trip to get himself out to the countryside and into the forest that lined the edges. it was almost menacing the way thick, dense forest trees stood tall, but at least there was a clear path that led the way in. the omega stood at the start of the path, hands clutching his messenger bag and he was glad he brought his coat out since it was quite chilly. and it would get colder the deeper he went inside, but now that he thought about it...wearing a red coat made him feel he was in a certain fairytale designed to scare little kids. minhyuk shook his head with a sigh, steeling himself and headed into the woods. supposedly the man lived just off the main path, and so all he could do is follow its curve and hope a house came into view eventually.

@Byun Baekhyunᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Kyungsoo held tightly onto his arms, The cold rain hitting his bare arms as he wore a sleeveless shirt. He felt sickly. He turned around swiftly, starting to head back home with a sense of embarrassment from his strong reaction towards the situation. He still smelled the scent of the other but it was very faint. He walked with his head hung low as the wave of sadness was still covering him, but after looking up he caught a glimpse of the hair he recognized all to well. He couldn't think of anything else but to yell.

"Baekhyun!"

That was his first instinct. One side of him wanted the hate the other, but he couldn't. He felt his eyes swell with tears, the mere thought of him being there hurt so much. he hoped the alpha wasn't here, it would be much more embarrassing to show his feelings in front of the other in his mind.

@Byun Baekhyunᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Kyungsoo wasn't one to care much about a pack. He grew up surrounded by humans after running away from the pack it's self for more freedom. He Just learned about the dynamics of it a few months ago.

He thinks thats why he wants his feelings to be reciprocated. He is begging to the heavens for it. As the salty tears were coming to a stop, He wiped his face and looked around, he felt uneasy? He isn't sure but its not going to stop his distaction strategy. As he wandered the sky got darker, and the smell of on coming rain and pine got heavier. The scent making him teary eyed again as he felt a small sickness in his stomach. Sometime he feels like being around humans was a curse, always emotional at the wrong time, the rain starting to fall making it worse than before. He contemplates going home but the scent of Baekhyun is still there, wether its his mind playing tricks on him or not.

That uneasy feeling is getting heavier, he feels watched, in a stalker type of way, but he is going insane so it can't be.

@Byun Baekhyunᵃˡᵖʰᵃ Kyungsoo walked around the dark and gloomy forest, he loved it here, it represented him in the moment. Though, Gloomy would be an understatement actually, he was devastated, how could he not be? The guy he thought would be the love of his life just broke his heart. Most would call Kyungsoo a fool, and he understood why, he doesn't think Baekhyun actually loved him, it was just fun to think he would ever. So here he is, sitting on a dirty wet rock with grass stains, crying like a teenager going through their first heartbreak.

@Kim Hyeonjoongᵃˡᵖʰᵃ joong’s words automatically make the younger smile. the alpha was right word for word, hyunjin had too much of his focus shifted to finding a mate. maybe that was the reason for so much of his stress. he proceeds to fall gently into the alpha’s arms into a hug, smiling as he closed his eyes to take in the comfort. “thank you, so much, joong..it means a lot to me. thank you two for being my new friends”*

@Hwang Hyunjinᵇᵉᵗᵃ Joong follows the beta to the chosen location, leaning against a tree to listen. He waits for Hyunjin to take it all off his system and for Taec to give his point of view before speaking. "I don't find you a bother at all. You can talk to me whenever you want," he pauses for a moment. "You're focusing too much on finding a lover. You don't need a lover or even friends to be happy, you should focus on making yourself happy by doing the things you want and like. Become someone you're proud of. People who are similar to you will naturally show up, and if they don't, then it's their loss, because you're amazing the way you are."

@Hwang Hyunjinᵇᵉᵗᵃ *i chuckle, ruffling your hair gently when you pull away* i appreciate that, hyunjin. i can use all the friends that i can get. i think i'm gonna grab some food, but i'll be around later. have a good day, okay.

@Ok Taecyeonᵃˡᵖʰᵃ *the beta snuggles into the hug giving it a squeeze, letting go eventually* “thanks taecyeon” he smiles at the alpha. “im glad i could make friends, im here for you as well”*

@Hwang Hyunjinᵇᵉᵗᵃ of course *smiling, i move closer, wrapping my arms around you, giving you a hug* it'll be alright, hyunjin *one of my big hands pats your back*

@Ok Taecyeonᵃˡᵖʰᵃ hyunjin nods at the alpha’s suggestion, feeling a little relieved. he gets up to open his arms for a hug. “thanks taec..is it okay to ask for a hug”*

@Hwang Hyunjinᵇᵉᵗᵃ i think it's a risk that you should take. i'm sure your friend wants you to be happy. maybe give them a little time to get settled now that they're back, but don't hold it in too long. it will only make you feel worse.

@Ok Taecyeonᵃˡᵖʰᵃ “you’re right..i do wanna talk but im hesitant because i don’t wanna ruin his happy state. i try not to look for someone but it just gets heavier everyday..i can’t brush off the feeling of feeling alone.”

@Kim Hyeonjoongᵃˡᵖʰᵃ @Hwang Hyunjinᵇᵉᵗᵃ have you talked to your friend who has returned about these issues? maybe they're not aware of how you're feeling. i think we all get anxious from time to time, especially when we're not involved with anyone. but i think you're being too hard on yourself. i always find when i don't look for someone special, i'm much more likely to meet someone who is

@Ok Taecyeonᵃˡᵖʰᵃ @Kim Hyeonjoongᵃˡᵖʰᵃ “this is the best place i could find..” he mumbles while sitting on the forest floor. “i usually don’t open up to people like this but..i trust you guys so..”
he sighs with his face in his hands. “i have anxiety..so it makes everything hell. i feel like a bother amongst people even though im not talking. the biggest part is i feel lonely amongst people who found each other. i am happy for them but it seems like everyone i am and was interested in are interested in someone else, so in the end i feel like a fool for trying. i tell myself i don’t need anyone or a relationship but it gets lonely sometimes. i rejected someone who wanted a relationship since i wasn’t ready for it. now they’re back & happier than ever but i feel like they’re starting to forget about me. they were the only hope i had for a future relationship and now its gone.
i feel like im unseen in a pack full of wolves. even when im quiet and say im fine i want someone to recognize that im not..i want someone to care about me..i don’t wanna be alone.”
