The Music Room

@M. Satoko [watches you play for a moment, mesmerised by how serious you look while playing the Shimasen, before closing his eyes and concentrating on the song, a small smile appearing on his face at the beautiful melody]
It’s nice. [says softly] Pretty.

@L. Donghae ⚕ *shifts a little and nods slightly*
*closes my eyes for a moment before starting to play slowly getting the feel again*
*nods after a moment and starts to play a traditional song*

@M. Satoko [smiles] Well, we’ll never know until we try it, right? Go on. [takes another chair and places in front of her, sitting opposite of her] I like to listen to you play. [eagerness was obvious in his voice and eyes, interested to hear you play]

@L. Donghae ⚕ *nods a little and smiles*
Yes, it will produce a good sound.
or it should.
*chuckles a little*

@M. Satoko [beams at your word, nodding] That’s good then, right? At least it can produce better sound? [says the last part a bit unsurely, not exactly a master in instruments]

@L. Donghae ⚕ *follows you over watching you carefully*
*kneels down in front of it and pulls it out fiddling around a little before looking at you*
Its in rather good condition actually.

@M. Satoko [smiles] Okay. Let’s find you a proper seat first. [looks over to the empty chairs, nodding towards them] Come on. [closes the lid and lifts the case up, carrying it over to an empty chair and setting it on the ground before reopening the lid] Here you go.

@L. Donghae ⚕ *looks in the case before reaching out to gently touch the strings*
I can try it... It has been a while, and I dont know its condition.
*smiles a little*

@M. Satoko [smiles, looking back at the Shimasen] Well, they seem to have more than one here. [looks at another few more cases with the same label] Let’s take this one for now and see if it works. [gently pulls out the case and lies it on the ground, unclasping the case before lifting the lid, shifting to one side to give you room to inspect] What do you think?

@L. Donghae ⚕ *looks over at you and nods*
Yes I did.
*comes over tilting my head slightly*
It looks ok...

@M. Satoko [nods] It’s worth a try though. [smiles]
Now let’s see- [follows the line of instrument cases, reading the names of many kinds of lutes until he reaches one] Shimasen? [looks back at you] You mentioned a Shimasen, right?

@L. Donghae ⚕ hmm...
*looks at you and shrugs slightly*
I hope so but I wont hold my breath

@M. Satoko I’m sure they will. [smiles] Now let’s see-
[walks along the row to look at the tags with the instruments’ names written] More violins... guitars... cellos-
[stops at one of the instruments, raising a brow in mild surprise, a smile on his lips] Oh look, a archlute. I think they may have traditional instruments after all if we look further.

@L. Donghae ⚕ *nods a little and smiles*
Yes. I would like to play them all again.
I wonder if they would get them...

@M. Satoko [chuckles] That’s true, but at least it’s worth a try, don’t you think?
[hums thoughtfully, nodding] That’s true. Still, they couldn’t not have a Koto at least. If they don’t have that, then the piano and violin it is.

@L. Donghae ⚕ Like I said, they may not have them because of the cost
*shrugs a little*
They wouldnt want something that expensive around people like us

@M. Satoko [nods slowly as he listened to your description, softly muttering the names to try and imprint them in his mind]
[looks at the violin and smiles, nodding] That’s two instruments down, five more to go. [looks around] I think we can find a Koto, if it’s similar to a Gayageum and with that also a Guzheng. We just need to find where they put the traditional instruments.

@L. Donghae ⚕ *chuckles a little and shakes my head*
*holds up the violin for you*
The Tsuzumi, or Shouko is a type of drum
The Shakuhachi is a bamboo flute.
The Koto is similar to you Gayageum
and the Shimasen is similar to a guitar

@M. Satoko [nods and smiles] Okay, you do that. I’ll try to find the Japanese instruments.
[turns to start his search but pauses immediately, asking awkwardly] If it doesn’t bother you, can you repeat the names of the instruments again?
[blinks] There is? [walks over to your side] Where?

@L. Donghae ⚕ *chuckles and nods slightly*
I will look around first...
*starts checking the room for things*
There is a violin...

@M. Satoko [looks around the music room upon arrival, humming at your words as he nodded] Hopefully there will be. If there’s not, there should at least be the violin or the piano. [gestures to the obvious piano in the middle of the room] Like that one.

@L. Taemin Violin feels more right to me
And it wasnt that you were a bad teacher, it was that you insisted on teaching me anything but dance.
*pouts a little*
I am not super flexible and can shake my ... this is not what I wanted to learn
*shakes my head a little and looks at the keys again*
Right, what do you want me to try and play.

@S. Debbie ♥ Excuse you, I'm a great dancer, you just had no flexibility

You were better at the violin, sometimes it just takes finding the instrument that feels the most right to you

@L. Taemin *laughs a little and shakes my head slightly*
Of course not... I didnt really care too much... but I loved violin a lot more.
Its more my kind of sound I think.
I was more tempted to find someone else when I was getting the 'dance lessons'

@S. Debbie ♥ No, I would just eat you out instead

I'm not sure how you ever learned anything with me. And your parents kept sending you back.
I thought for sure I'd never see you again after that first summer of 'music lessons'
I figured you'd beg them to send you to someone else

@L. Taemin I was much better with the violin, it was harder for you to touch me without getting smacked in teh face.
*laughs a little and shakes my head*
I didnt mind, they let me have extra lessons towards the end.
*smiles softly patting your cheek*
I dont know if I even remember anything you taught me, but we will see wont we.

@S. Debbie ♥ It was fun getting you in trouble with you parents though, they always got so frustrated with you that you weren't making any progress at the piano no matter how hard I was trying to teach you.
/he chuckled against your lips, kissing you softly before he stepped back with an amused smile/

It takes more to get me off now then it did then.

@S. Debbie ♥ You never learned the piano because your concentration was . You always paid more attention to what my hand was doing between your legs instead of what notes I was telling you to play.

Somehow I don't think you'd be any better at it now than you were back then.
