@Nadech Kugimiya ‘Damn, is that so, Barry?’ She teased a little, knowing that she shouldn’t go overboard with the use of the nickname, especially as he seemed to be opening up to her slowly. Folding the list of cities and tucking it back in her little backpack before reaching to help entering the itinerary on his car’s gps, his playful banter ringing in her ears and having her little first immediately launching to punch his chest, a habit she had since growing up around rowdy brothers all her life. ‘You’re disgusting haha, also sorry for hitting you...force of habit’ the apple of her cheeks were now painted by a light pink hue, back now resting against her seat as her eyes adverted on the city landscape. ‘About me? There isn’t much you don’t know, honestly — Both of my parents are Korean but me and my two brothers are born and raised in Hawaii. I majored in wedding planning but traveling was always my true passion..so when finding out that it could actually be my job, I gave it my all, launched my YouTube channel and Instagram and here we are now, couple years later, fortunate enough to have a nice income by doing what I love’ her tone hinting the wide grin pulling on her tiers as she went on. ‘I got the offer to come and do a couple videos about Korea and I thought it would be a nice way to learn about my heritage — what about you, Mister? @Sen Mitsuji She turns her head to look at him when he calls her name, her gaze softening as takes in his wistful expression. Jessica says nothing, but gives his hand a gentle squeeze to acknowledge his thanks before proceeding to caress his thumb with her own. She’s not sure what has happened to Sen in the past, and she’d never force him to open up to her, but it seems like this was something he greatly needed. All she can do is tilt her head so it’s resting on his arm. “We’ll be okay, bubba.”
@Jessica Oh He glance down at their hands when she moved to interlace her fingers with his and he nods his head. "Much better." He says too and smiles lightly before looking up to view once more. After a moment, he calls her name softly. "Jessica.." He sayd but doens't look at her and continues to say. "Thank you."
@Sen Mitsuji "I'll be fine," Jessica assures, but she loses her train of thought when she feels her hand being encased within his. "That's a first," she mutters under her breath, just a tad bit amazed that he initiated physical contact, but goes with it nonetheless. She readjusts the handholding, however, so their fingers are interlaced instead and smiles softly afterwards. "That's better."
@Jessica Oh "Careful now... I wouldn't want you falling off." He says softly as he reached for her hand and held it in his, gently pulling her towrds him and away from the edge. He looked back at the view and stayed like that for some moment, simply enjoying that time with her.
@Sen Mitsuji Opening the door, she hops off the Rubicon and follows him to the edge. The sight before her has agape, and her eyes twinkle as she takes in the city spread below her. It was too dark to make out individual buildings, but Seoul still shined brilliantly with all the lights dispersed so freely. Jessica turns to look at her husband, meeting his gaze and mimicking the smile on his face. Right now, there was nowhere else she’d rather be.
@Jessica Oh "Chance discovery." He says with a proud nod, turning the engine off and motions her out of the Jeep. "Come. The view and air is better out there." He got off first, walking near the edge and just gazes at the breathaking view before them. "Makes you feel small.." He says softly, turning to look at her then and smiles lightly.
@Sen Mitsuji “Hmm? What is it?” she asks, her attention now back on him for a brief moment before she looks out the window to see where they’re headed. It’s unfamiliar territory for her, and going off the concrete path has her slightly nervous. But she trusts Sen, so she just watches as the car goes up the dirt terrain and reaches the top of a clearing. Jessica’s eyes widen, glimmering with delight as she takes in the cityscape before her. “How’d you find this, Sen? It’s beautiful.”
@Jessica Oh He holds her gaze for a moment and thought to himself that it's not that bad. He could defintiely used a new reason to smile. Soon they got out of the tunnel and out onto the highway with what seems to be an endless road ahead of them. "I want to show you something." He says, soon turning down a dirt road that leads up the hill. Sen just recently discovered the place and he thought that it could be a perfect time to share it with someone. The dirt road led higher up the hill and soon they reached the top clearing. He drove the Jeep towards the edge and from there they could see the magnificent city lights of Seol.
@Sen Mitsuji It’s an exhilarating feeling. The way her blood is pumping, the way the music pounds so the Jeep is shaking, and the way the adrenaline rushes through her veins. Jessica enjoys this all too much. She settles back within her seat, but juts her hand out to feel the wind slapping against her skin. She turns to look at Sen and her heart warms when she notices him smiling as well, prompting her already big beam to widen even more. She could get used to this.
@Jessica Oh With a nod, Sen steps onto the gas and they speed away into the tunnel, turning the head lights off and lets the light posts light their way. The sound of their car's engine and the music blasting form the stereo echoes into the tunnel and somehow it felt like they were the only ones in the world at that moment. Sen glanced at Jessica and could only smile as he sees the bright smile on her face.
@Sen Mitsuji She can only chuckle at his comment, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly before she shifts her attention back to the road. Jessica recognizes the tunnel ahead, having gone on way too many trips out of the city in her entire career. As the wind hits her face and the music starts blasting, she feels absolutely euphoric. It’s been quite a while since she’s had time to recharge this way, and she can’t help but peek her head out of the window. “Let’s go!” she yells, clearly excited as she starts to bop her head to the tune of the song, the wide grin on her face never fading.
@Jessica Oh He could feel her look at him, thinking she'd taken his question seriously only to purse his lips together to refrain him from bursting into laughter with her response. He did expect a playful answer but not that playful. "You're unpredictable, Jess." He says with a nod, meaning it in a good way. His eyes focused something in front of them and he nods towards the front. "Heads up." He says referring to the tunnel a few meters down the road. It is one of the longest tunnel that connects the city to the freeway. It's warm yellow lights that's span yards from each other gives off a marvelous feeling when driven in the night. Sen rolled down their windows and turned up the volume of the radio, which was now starting to play Ready for More by Sea Girls.
@Sen Mitsuji She purses her lips, turning to look at him before tilting her head as if to inspect him from every angle. “What if you shaved most of your head, leaving just a zigzag for your sideburns and two little strands of hair on top like a rainbow? Homer Sen-son.” Jessica jokes, even though she’s not sure he’ll get the reference. “I can dye my hair blue and use hair gel to stack it up like a beehive. Marge-sica.” Dulcet laughter leaves her lips at her own comment, shaking her head as she thinks about how ridiculous it’d be.
@Jessica Oh Drumming his fingers slightly on the wheel alkong with the music, Sen chuckles softly at her response, nodding his head this time. "And how do you suggest for me to look better?" He asked, glancing her way with an amused smile.
@Sen Mitsuji She gives it a moment, leaning back onto her seat and acted like she was thinking. “Well, now that you mention it,” she starts off, playing along with his question, “I’m not sure. I guess you could look better.” There’s a gaiety tone to her words and she puts an emphasis on the ‘guess.’
@Jessica Oh Her statment only made him chuckle lowly, glancing at her then and sees her pout and he just shakes his head as he return to focus on the road. "Not even with these stubles?" He raised his brow a bit at her, feeling quite playful and going along with her.
@Sen Mitsuji As she started driving, she leaned over to turn the radio on and settled on the station playing Kayden’s “I Found You.” After all, what’s a late night drive without any music? She noticed his smile and the way he shakes his head, knowing all too well that he doesn’t believe her. Jessica juts out her lips slightly to form a pout. “I’m serious - you look good. I don’t think there’s ever been a moment you looked anything but handsome.”
@Jessica Oh After making sure she was settled down, Sen drive onto the streets, heading for the less busy street to the highway. He smiled lightly at her comment, shaking his head as he was sure he was far from looking good at that moment. "Im not sure yet. But maybe I'll keep it on for a while, just trim it every now and then." He says, gently rubbing his chin, feeling it's rough surface.
@Sen Mitsuji Jessica’s aware that this is probably the first time he’s seen her dressed so casually, so his compliment only makes her smile bashfully. She mutters a soft ‘thanks’ before she turns to look at him and takes in his unrefined look, stubble and all. “You look good too. Do you plan to grow it out?” She asks, using her index finger to point to his chin.
@Jessica Oh As she got on, he pulled back on to his seat, watching her get settled. "You still look lovely." He commented. Despite her simple outfit, far different from what he have seen her dress like, Jessica still manages to look great.
Sen on the other hand, has stubles growing out of his chin, his hair has grown a bit longer. He was wearing a slightly oversized sky blue long-sleeved buttoned shirt paired with black pants and beaters.
@Sen Mitsuji "Hey you," she greets with a wide beam, getting into the car and shutting the door before she buckled her seatbelt. The woman is dressed in a simple white tee topped by a chunky oversized gray cardigan, completing her lazy look with navy denim jeans and white slip-ons. There's glasses that frame her face, and her hair is up in a messy bun. "I've gotta thank you for this. Heaven knows I was going crazy cooped up at home."
@Jessica Oh It didn't take long for Sen to arrive at the place where Jessica was at. He was already around the area and so he arrived sooner. He pulled the Jeep to the side of the road and stopped at where the female was waiting. He leaned over to the passenger's seat to open the door for her, pushing it open. "Hello." He greets with a soft smile.
@Kim Heejung “If I were, it would all be too obvious.” Nad laughed lightly, shaking his head at their exchange. He wasn’t the type to be able to fool people so when he does such thing, even without a word, majority could tell. The man was just not too sure whether it was a blessing or a curse to be that plain and easy to read. Leaning against the car seat, he listened to the well-prepared itinerary she had for them, those places familiar by ear but not by sight. It had him ecstatic all the more as exploring was his lifeblood. “That’s totally fine. I’d be happy to kill time in style. But if my feet gets tired, prepare for a foot massage.” He chuckled, his chill side coming out gradually. Nad placed the destination to the GPS system before heading out into the road, eyes laser-focused as always. “Tell me more about you?”
@Nadech Kugimiya ‘Well thank god! I was really starting to think you were avoiding me at all cost’ She chuckled, obviously poking fun at the man as she could notice by they previous meeting that he was rather on the reserved side while she was quite the opposite. Making sure to secure the bag full of food for him to take back home with him, the brunette settled back comfortably against the plush surface of the car seat, his following action catching her a little off guards, mumbling a faint thank you underneath her breath before fixing out her itinerary from her purse. ‘So, I thought we could could first go to Andong with the Joseon-Style houses. Then, Danyang with its beautiful mountains and we could end by having dinner at Incheon, at the seafood market? — perhaps I’m asking you too much, we can cut it down if you want’
@Kim Heejung When the door revealed the other, he simply waved a hand, utterly glad to have seen her once more. It felt like ages since he last laid eyes on her or on any other acquaintance he may have. As much as he desired to strike a conversation back at the park, he wasn’t a talented genius in doing so. “Hi. See? I’m not swerving from you.” He laughed shortly, having in mind that faint memory of a conversation they had through chat. Leaning close yet cautious not to cross any line, he grabbed the seat belt and made sure it was secured across her. “Where are we headed too?”
@Nadech Kugimiya After portioning the japchae along with a couple side dishes and setting them in a bag as asked from the man, Heejung was quick to go get ready, the arrival of Nadech being rather imminent by now. Body clad in a fitted jean and oversized sweatshirt, it didn’t take long for her to hear Bailey barking, hinting her that someone had perhaps parked near the entrance. ‘Alright, behave while I’m gone okay?’ she reaches down to pet the dog’s head before slipping on her sneakers and heading out, bag of food and purse hanging down her shoulder. ‘Why hello there’ a smile tugged on her lips upon opening the passenger’s door, climbing in next to Nadech.
@Kim Heejung With one last message to the female regarding the time of his arrival, he hurriedly jumped into his car, zooming along the streets. The plan had been there for long but having the will to act on it was a struggle for the male. Not that he deemed the other as someone he wouldn’t want to hangout with. It was just him and his incurable disease: laziness. Good thing it wasn’t lethal but still, he needed a cure or at least alleviate symptoms. After a few minutes, he pulled over at the address, putting his car on hazard as he waited for the other.
@Kim Jisoo Eliciting a faint chuckle at the look of surprise painting his expression, Heejung was quick to dismiss his apologies, finding it unnecessary as she should have been the one sorry for her belated arrival. ‘Don’t worry about it. The weather is so nice today that I would have definitely done the same — but sure, I’m ready!’ she nodded as to put some emphasis to her words, smile never leaving her brims. It wasn’t too long until the woman could notice Jisoo’s eyes raking her up and down, a soft chuckle escaping her as she wasn’t the best at handling compliments. Yet his politeness was enough to ease her into it, both slowly starting to walk alongside as to reach the food market near. ‘Why thank you, you don’t look too bad yourself either, I must say’
@Kim Heejung Reaching for the phone with his hand, lifting it to head height, with one eye he peeked at his phone smiling at the reply, putting back his phone and closing his eye again. Feeling warmth coming to the sun, the time passed by so quickly that he barely noticed someone coming close, but her voice woke him up.
"Oh! Hello!" Quickly sitting straight, ashamed of his too-relaxed position from early, actually getting up to bow at the girl in front of him. "It's alright, I was just enjoying some sunbath, are you ready to go?" He smiled taking a look at her outfit "You look wonderful" he wasn't the type to compliment people that often, he feels quite awkward doing it but he always thought that is fitting to compliment someone you just met or when you're going out.
