⟨×⟩ description: 매화곳 was once a yangban-owned hanok located at the outermost edge of the outer city of hanseong now currently housing at least ten (10) women from different walks of life. it is an establishment that was secretly bought by marquess yoon jeongho back in 1861, who aimed to rent the once unused rooms to ladies of good standing in the government. it was named 매화 to honor the plum trees that grew in abundance in the garden within the estate. there is a special screening for tenancy that is personally handled by the marquess, himself, and rumor has it that though the prices were reasonable, it was not easy to grab a room due to the tedious selection process. in truth, this was where the marquess housed those women who were abused, thrown out of their homes, or those of higher status that were running away from the responsibilities placed upon them — the latter reason an echo to his own predicament in life.
