⁞ among the people that has been with ara since the days where she frequented hanseong and has stayed there, muse a remained to be the only one who wrote back to ara. even during the days of her and her past love, muse a didn't fail to validate how she felt and would always take her side. he promised to visit sacheon when he can but couldn't however, the thought was enough to comfort ara that at least even when everyone has forgotten her, muse a remained to keep memories of her alive. and now that she came back to hanseong, she searched and searched for muse a. and as soon as she sees him, she jumps at him immediately tackling him, forgetting that they are two grown adults, that this kind of interaction could cause the town to talk about them. however, how could she not be happy to see muse a when everyone else didn't matter as they must've forgotten who won ara is.

⁞ muse a is ara's first love and will remain for the rest of her life as a scar in her heart. she was smitten over him for the longest time and had done her best to become a lady worthy of him during her youth. they later on took each other's hand and got into a serious relationship which later on slowly dwindled into nothingness. ara often headed back home to sacheon and she would write numerous letters to muse a but would eventually not hear from him for a long time. soon after, ara hears from his brother that muse a was returning to hanseong and she came with her brother to see her love but only then did muse a admit to her that his love for her has never been as strong as hers. all the work she's done to make it work seems to suddenly turn to dust instantly.

⁞ years later, ara comes back to hanseong only to realize that muse a is also within the capital and she does her best not to cross paths with them, however, just like how she used to walk the familiar trail at the docks where they used to walk hand in hand, she comes across muse a after years.

⁞ muse a and bin have been involved for a little why in their young years. bin's dense tendencies when it comes to romance has been like that since young, and so it lead muse a to take the lead in the relationship. bin was only 18 when they started the relationship, and with an unexperienced heart, bin was unsure how to treat muse a. this lead muse a to grow tired and unsure of the affections bin said he has for her, eventually leading to them drifting away and breaking up.

With a love of whiskey and filled with loneliness, Dongwook often finds himself in company that are flowery. They are all beautiful, filling the gardens of every gisaeng house with blossoms of grace and laughter but out of that bunch, a thorny rose always stands out to him.

She smells of moonlight and rose dipped whiskey, lingering on his skin after a night under the moon. Their friendship stems from that night, but over time, it develops into something akin to comfort, one that fits within the silk sheets and in their lives as if puzzle pieces. It’s a transaction of benefits and Dongwook has no qualms about becoming all too familiar with the walls of her bedroom.

: even before he became a gisaeng, he reached out to him after hearing how skillful yongha was with both calligraphy and gayageum. with the other man insinuating how beautiful yongha's music was, from there bloomed a physical relationship that opened his eyes to even more possibilities of pleasure and art.

: however, everything nice has its limits. yongha's status has reminded him that the society was not fair for those of his kind. he needed to survive, with her nobility, his presence kept her at risk of people pointing fingers at her and people telling her he's taking advantage of her kindness. and that is how yongha drifted away from the sweetness of his first love.

as famous as she was for her beauty and brains, seol jukyung was someone that no one was jealous of. her fairytale love story and picture perfect family were destroyed when her husband and children were “executed” in nihon, accused of a crime they did not commit. it was from that day on, she went mad, constantly searching for her twin sons. despite her good days, she was seen as a lost cause with the episodes she had.

it was on one of these days, she ended up following two young boys in the market after wandering away from her handmaiden. to her, she found her boys, kyungho and kyungjoon. despite the fact it had been nearly twenty-five years since they were declared dead by the joseon and nihon governments. because of this simple mistake, she was locked up. no one believed her story or her claims of who her family was, even with her fine jewelry, clothes, and makeup. just that afternoon of questioning and harassment brought her back to a dark time she never wanted to relive again.

luckily, her younger brother, seol taejoon came to her rescue. people always noted that with the age difference, juhwan and taejoon were extremely protective of their older sister. however, it was with this protective and loyal nature came the seol general’s fiery temper. it was at the local station, taejoon had a target for putting jukyung through this ordeal. unfortunately, muse a was in his cross hair.

His own pain also brings him pleasure, though this is something he trusts only a few to inflict on him.

The issue is, once Sungha goes into a rage, it is very hard for him to stop. He has injured clients and servants badly enough to nearly be kicked out of his home multiple times. As a young man, his mother could stop him. But recently you're the only one able to calm him down, to pull him out of his violent episodes. As to why, Sungha hasn't the slightest idea.
